kool is crap, let me just point this out.
Ive never been "kool" and ive never been one of the "popular" kids.
I was a geek in school but had a decent social circle away from there.
I think the area of weakness you are describing relates alot of social proof. You want to be the guy who walks into the room and people recognise you, ladies love speaking with you and guys envy you.
The kool guy doesnt think hes kool, the kool guy is just kool. You have to be the embodiment of what it is you desire.
I started with the goal of having 3 gf's I am sexually involved with and enjoying relationships without an emotional commitment. Ive given myself a year of singularity to focus on the intricacies of my game because as a whole Ive developed myself an attractive lifestyle.
You can look cool but when you put under pressure that pretense cud fall away quicker than the realism of an old Paul Daniels trick.... You have to decide what you want to be and be it.

all of the above are states of being, you are the above your not trying to be the above. Alot of it is assumed respect and forced evaluations, when people look at you and talk to you they are left with an imprint on their mind of what makes you the person you are. Tailoring this image and impression is a big part of the personal development alot of PUA material focuses on.
Congruence is an essential part of being PUA. Wherever we are, whatever we do, women will be there and we will be persuing them. You could walk a mile in my shoes and still never tread the same path as me, but at least you would have decent taste in footwear
