Purpose, Mission, Happiness

What jazzes you about life? If you had to do ONE thing before you died, what would it be? What makes you happy?

It can be a big or small thing doesn't matter- hell it could be retarded, if it makes YOU feel good keep doing it. I brought my old teddy bear out of the closet last week- I wonder how I parted with it, ITS SO DAMN CUDDLY :D. Its great to wakeup and have something cuddly by you. It makes me happy.

Having that in the morning starts me off well and then it just continues. Call it "happiness momentum" because it just keeps rolling and then it spreads to others.

Purpose seems to be thrown around ALOT, its great to know where your going- its not that though, your purpose is whatever your doing and you LOVING it. Basically, everything is secondary even if others "frown" down on you.

So here's a video for some inspiration while ya'll keep trucking. :)

PS: Post your own positive stuff here as a reference for those down days. :)

Lovely video man. Even though no words were spoken, it spoke to me far better than had it had words. Truly an amazing and heartwarming video!

LOL, read the Q&A from the video- he may have he may not have. If he did though its really a small thing, remember what I said "what do you have to do before you die". If the kiwi did, he was damn happy before it happened & did what he had to. :)

a friend told me that sometimes in ancient greek or roman cultures (I can't remember which) if someone had a great day and they believed that life couldn't get any better, they would go to a public bath house, get one of the private rooms, and slit there wrists, so they could die happy. Please don't yell at me if I'm wrong, it's just what a friend told me. But yeah, they believed that dieing happy was better than anything (allegedly).

Dude, its not sad or depressing. Hell it should be celebrated he died happily! Lets be real- your dieing everyday whether or not your doing what your not or are doesn't make a difference to time. We're all going die one day, so just accept it- its not a bad thing. Its how you use your time which makes the difference, does it make you happy or fulfill your "purpose" or "mission"?

As to that_one_guy, I'm a history buff and never heard of that- I know if you died in battle it was honorable to suicide was a insult (depending where you were in the empire). Your idea of dieing happy and fulfilled is right though. :)

I'm all for people dying happy. I just think its "out-there" to sign up for something knowing your going to die. Not that its never happened (kamikazes), but it's not something I would glorify. I mean, fucking with stingrays is fun I'm sure, but if you knew without a doubt you were going to get stabbed in the heart.. would you do it anyways?

Kiwi was a smart little bastard (RIP), throwing up all those trees like that.. Couldn't he have built a little hot-wheels loop ramp that shot him back up to safety? I don't know... it's just tragic, that's all I'm saying.

I agree with what you said and yeah, Kiwi could've set something up in the bottom of the cliff to break his fall but it would've taken away from the power of the short clip.

....

Talk about over analysin the vid, we don't know if he's dead or not the author even said there's going be another...

Good thing about this all is you guys immediately jumped to thinking he was dead. I didn't even think of that- because I wasn't focusing on any negative. Great reflection for you guys ;)

I was reading one of the comments, and it said the "thump" at the end was a parachute opening and not him landing

so he doesn't die if you want to think about it that way, tho it's getting over analytical of the video -_-

but I'm sure the point of this was to remind us to do what we like best and not a story of a bird...
