Post subject:  Learning Game Without a Job

I would probaly be trying hard to learn game , if other aspects of my life weren't such a mess. I'm unemployed, and I just don't have confidence, in general.

Putting those in order are more than learning game, but the directionless-ness is killing me. I've been unemployed a month, and looking for jobs I don't care about, is just draining.

I need purpose, really; Tyler Durden said he put up with less as he got more focused and purposeful, but I've gotten less, and I need to get more.

Stop lurking and posting on this forum and FOCUS on finding a job first. If you don't have any self esteem, it's just plain difficult to get laid.

Look. The forum regulars on here workout in gyms; have careers in management, engineering and the academe; have businesses on the side; slay pussy on the regular; and help noobs in here get laid.

You simply have NO EXCUSE not to fix this weak area in your life right now.

Well, I 've been sending out resumes, and I've going to gym. What was missing, till now, was career focus, and it is going to be video editing.

I'm going to focus on learning that, next year, and in the mean time, I'm going to focus on just getting a job; sent out three resumes this week, but I'll need to do more.

How does that sound?

Next year? Why can't you learn video editing now? Get a 30-day Camtasia Studio free trial copy, look at Youtube tutorials, build up your portfolio for the next 30 days, upload your best works on Youtube, and provide links to these on the resumes you send out.

Procrastination and overanalysis will not get you anywhere.

Okay; I've downloaded Camtasia Studio 8. Any other other specific suggestions other than reading a tutorial? Me. I'm seeking an online forum.

Oh... am I the only that has noticed the forum seems to be running slower, the past couple days?

You say you need purpose. Self-improvement, learning game, is a purpose. Not sure if you go to the gym or not, but there's purpose there, as well. By all means, get a job. But work on these other parts of your life, as well. When I started learning this pickup stuff and getting my self-confidence up, I wasn't fully employed. Learning this actually helped me become more confident on the job front, as well as with women. Go get 'em.

Well, I do go to the gym; I'm a scrawny 150-some pounds. Wasn't able to chin myself properly till about a year-and-a-half ago. Gave myself a bad lower back by hunching over too much in my twenties; I'm now correcting that via copious stretches. I wasn't even able to do a proper push-up till the last couple months, either. I should do more strength training, but it takes money to do a trainer, and I have other priorities.

Got my driver's license at thirty, started learning karate at the same time, and three to four thousand dojo hours later, I'm pretty good, though learning to move my hips was the hardest.

Getting a job, a real job, the first one since college, was a big morale booster, this year. I fought for my job, even though I lost it, and have been filling out forms; was working on three today, for Lowe's, and willi again tomorrow.

When my job was doing well, this summer, I made a real push on video editing, a namely focusing on learning it, while saving for a car, but then my post, which I did well at, and derived some value, ended, and got moved to other places in the store, where I quickly flamed out.

As for video editing, I was focused on using my resources at this local college, but the guy running it thought me too scary, and security kicked out of the campus. Imay be back in January, but that was a setback.

Women. As I've said before, I've had some disasters sarging, but I still read up on it, and think of it, often. I've decided not to focus on it, now, because I've found it too stressful, and kept think what a loser I am in my general life, and that is why I'm now focused on a job, and a trade, as in video editing. Hopefully, in a few months, or so, I will feel like sarging, again with a jo, and a regime in place to learn video editing. Should have done this earlier in my life, to learn something useful to making money, but oh, well.

There's my plan, and I'm working it. Like you, I tried first by getting good with women, get confidence there, but I got campus security called on me for sarging a girl, as in touching her hair (mistake), and later, she saw me on a bus, and called the cops, a couple weeks, later.

For me, I'm not sure now's the right time to get started on building confidence with girls.

Odesk/Elance/Upwork/guru.com are only 4 of many freelancing websites that I regular use myself. It's swarming full of people looking for video editors. You can get a friend to leave some Bogus reviews and You can then google "how to stand out on outsourcing websites?" and then you will be ahead of the curve. You see? Think outside out of the box. The money is out There to be taken.

It's all about the hustle. Same with picking up chicks, you get the fundamentals and think outside of the box and reel the results. Same with gym, there are smarter ways to workout than the average clueless chode picking up any old weight.

Use your head, you obviously haven't googled hard enough. You need to dig into Google and be PRO-ACTIVE at this thing. Recently, I found a product that's selling pretty good around Xmas one bay for pretty cheap. I made a quick website using "SELLO" and created a product page. I then used Facebook ads to send people to my page and make money. You know how I found this out? I learned and have been PRO-ACTIVE at this goal for the past 3/4 years

All of your post is just full on bull shit excuses.

Welcome to the real world. Life is a hustle, the people that hustle are going to get the rewards. Or you can look for jobs that you don't want to do, like work in a DIY store.

I hope Your next post isn't just more excuses. Then I will have to caps lock on your ass and you don't want that. Trust me.

You're supposed to be men. Enough of the this defeatist bull shit

here's a question to ask yourself...
"why cant I use my PUA game to build a network and get jobs from that?"
It's a common misconception that people think that the game is just for HBs and women in general. But what about how we get into clubs, work ourselves into groups, and make friends?? Why don't you use your PUA style and game to build working relationships also, build a professional network so you can successfully look for a job or start your own business?
That's what I've done. I started my own computer solutions business in february using my contacts and word of mouth. I built/build a network of customers and contacts using my PUA skills, and it's kept me going. don't think that what you learn just works on women, use it to build yourself up. take advantage of the lessons and put them to good use.

Okay; I just spent over four hours today working on on Camtasia, watching many tutorial, googling things, and NOT asking on forums for help--just me, my computer, and an effort to improve--full stop. Got the webcam working; also recorded with the screen cam. Call me a whiner, but that's what I did.

As to hustling, I really do need a certain level of skill as a video editor, really, first. Even if I could, that just wouldn't be moral, but that's what I worked on, and I do mean worked--even as I stretched my lower back out, whilst watching tutorials.

Hm...well, I thought about that, at one point, using PUA skills to build a network, but decided that at this point, my confidence was too low, and prioritized, on other things. I'm going to look deeper on google for answers in general, and just see if I do that that; you seem think I should be aiming to self-employed, I take it.

Are you? In any case, I like editing, even if I haven't developed it as a skill, and would like to do something online to make money, and think this suits. I'm still aiming to just get a job to pay the bills, for now, and don't see anything wrong with this.
