Has anyone here ever tried recording a video of yourself talking in a positive way to help build a higher sense of confidence, ability to connect with others, and understand of body language/facial expression? Just curious. |

I haven't recorded myself for those purposes - I do play cricket over here in the UK though and my coach often records me so that I can see where my technique is off. The coach can tell me what I'm doing wrong and I can have a vague idea in my head, but when I see it, it makes such a massive difference. I can't see why it wouldn't work for things like body language and voice tonality etc. |

Looks like this can be done. Whenever you find yourself in an amazing state, where all boundaries are broken, and when all anxiety has eliminated, or could be when you felt really confident about yourself. You pick up a recording device and record yourself. I was thinking of those things you did as a kid back in 4th grade when you were told to write to yourself 20 years in the future, but this time on video. |

I did that in high school as a freshman and put weed seeds in an envelope to open as a senior. When I was a senior they asked what the seeds were and I just said seeds from my gandma that passed away. I don't know why I did that. The self-recording is to become more aware of facial expressions/non verbal behavior, etc.. I did one video I forgot about then watched it some time later and it was absolutely hilarious, or least I thought it was |
