I have not always held this view that feminism is evil. I too, for a time, have fallen for the fallacy of composition; that what is true of a systems parts must be true for the system as a whole. Feminism is an amalgam of various ideas, belief systems, and people, all held under a single moniker, but that makes it easy for those who DON'T fight for equal rights to hide behind the beliefs of those who DO under the same cause. Feminism has become a straw man for every man hater and misandrist to hide behind, enabled the spoiled and sociopathic to see themselves as well as convince society that they are inherently infallible, and convince the world that women are inherently oppressed and that any backlash to their imagined oppression is just, and simply a noble expression of "girl power". I however do not see any difference between "girl power" and "black power" or "white power" and think certain feminist groups should be considered hate groups. Here is the facts, taken from the bureau of labor statistics as well as the bureau of justice statistics, that proves men are in fact oppressed in more cases than women, and that the balance of civil rights have shifted to favor women, while hypocritically purporting that we are still living in the 1800s with a "glass ceiling" and a "patriarchy" that conspires against women. •72.7% of homeless adults are men •3-4x more men than women, will commit suicide. white males will commit suicide more than any other demographic. •Men are 4x as likely to be murdered, although women are more likely to be murdered by a significant other •92% of work related deaths are men •91% of incarcerations are male •40% of domestic violence injuries are male, 60 are female •237,868 rapes are reported to the police on average every year, 1 in 10 victims are men •according to psychologist sarah crome, only 1 in 10 male victims come forward, but i cannot conclude what basis she is speculating from so i will not factor this into my final amount •over 300,000 prison rapes occur every year, 65% of these are men •99% of those convicted and imprisoned for rape are male •that puts total reported rape at 218787 for men, 319081 for women, an approximately 2/3 ratio •sexual assault has fallen by 50% in recent years That puts women as the prime victims of only rape and domestic violence, with possible underreporting for both. its still nowhere near the drastically uneven rate victimizing men for work related deaths, incarcerations, homelessness, suicide, murder, with murder and suicide being the largest killer in the world aside from disease and accidents. Feminists will choose the one crime they're actually victimized more by, and try to make it seem like they are disproportionately oppressed, however this is in fact the exact opposite. the FBI reports unfounded rape accusations at 8%, this is 6% higher than the average rate for all unfounded crimes. a university study around the same time found 41% of the cases they studied were false allegations. this study was criticized by other sources because the police department they investigated used polygraph tests on the accusers and not just the accused which was claimed to be abuse. However, this is america, where people are innocent until proven guilty, and due process is not abuse. Feminists would like to change the system so they alone can reap the benefits of guilty until proven innocent. There are shelters for battered women, but no shelters for battered men. In the 1970s feminist Erin Pizzey, the owner of one of the FIRST EVER refuges for battered women set out to study domestic violence but found contrary to what she expected that it was often a reciprocal relationship, with roughly equal and sometimes even more violent responses from the women who came to stay at her shelter. She suggested the need for a domestic violence refuge for men, and for simply suggesting that women could be capable of violence, she received hate mail and death threats in response. Someone killed her dog for it. In the present day she feels radical feminists have “hijacked her cause” and used it to demonize men. The organization she started now makes millions of dollars and profits by distorting her original vision, without her. In 1989 lorena bobbit cut off her husbands penis and threw it in a field, claiming she did it because he was selfish and didn’t let her orgasm. She pleaded insanity for the “irresistible urge” to maim her husband and spent only 45 days in a mental hospital. She then tried to prosecute him for rape, and failed. She later went on to fight as an activist for “battered women” and “sexual abuse”. Her husband was chastised on oprah for sending her valentines day cards, and apologized to HER for the way he had treated her during marriage. Both were later accused but not convicted of their own respective assault charges, bringing light to Pizzeys claims. In 2011 Catherine Kieu cut off her husbands penis and throwing it down a garbage disposal. She did it because he filed for divorce. He was found drugged, bleeding out and tied to a bed. It was later joked about on “The Talk” who found the situation “hysterical”, and “quite fabulous”. Kieu was found guilty and faced life in prison, but not without taking her husbands dignity, his sex life, and causing him to be ruthlessly hazed by the feminist community in the media and various social media sites. She meanwhile reveled in her fame remorselessly, praised by misandrist women everywhere. You can still find the facebook posts and comments on youtube, harassing him and claiming he deserved it. I can go on and on finding more examples, but i think this is enough to suffice. Feel free to post your own, but most of all understand that hating women for this or creating a "masculinist group" will only feed into the problem. What we have is a malignancy of social justice, where women are allowed equal rights but not equal responsibilities and what this results in is a lack of accountability. Unchecked sociopathy spreads like wildfire and we need to put an end to these belief systems once and for all. Awareness is our best weapon.
