I recently broke up with one of my girlfriends, and got fired from a job by an abusive boss. Know what? I couldn't be happier. One thing I've realized about my life is that a lot of the people who reject you, who are negative to you, or who just take you for granted do not deserve to be around you. The only person who can set the standard to how you are treated is you. By allowing people to step on you, and forgiving them for it, you're telling them it's OKAY to do that. Everyone - and I do mean everyone - is an option. The question is, is that person an option that will benefit you? |
