Most of my life I've always had an "inner voice" in my head. In times of low stress the inner voice is quiet and it's easy to focus and also it's easy to relax. I can talk to girls confidently and also stay on track with school, my friends, hobbies, and other aspects of my life. But in times of high stress the inner voice is a loud obnoxious motherfucker who won't shut the fuck up. It really fucks with my game heavily. Whenever I'm talking to a girl, I always have to fake being relax when inside I'm nervous for no reason. Also fucks with my life in general cause whenever I'm stressed I always over-think things, try to plan things out in advance, even get paranoid sometimes about random highly unlikely things like dying in my sleep or all my friends turning on me. It's hard doing things like focusing in class and studying when I'm in this high stress state. And even though I over-think things, I still say and do impulsive things sometimes, if that makes any sense. Basically my mind gets cluttered with nonsense and I can't focus. How would you guys train yourself to have the ability to stay mentally focused? I've been trying just doing things I enjoy (hobbies). And also online poker. I find that (if you're a serious poker player) online poker is very mentally involving and forces you to be focused so you make the correct decisions. |
