Hey ignite, I wish there was an answer I could provide that will make you feel better, but from my previous experience, there really isn't much you can do. I recently went through a similar fling with a girl that had to move back home in another continent. We really liked each other and it was an intense month of dating. If you really like this girl, it sucks, but there's not much you can do if she has to go back. LDR rarely work and I don't think that's something you will want. Look, it's gonna hurt in the end but isn't something that you should fear. Just enjoy each others company and the times that you can spend together now. After she's gone, make sure to keep busy-hang out with friends and keep going out. It's not going to remove all the pain, but it does get better in time. Trust me, it will be a good learning experience for you. I'm not sure that's the answer you were looking for, but I just wanted to be honest with you. Good luck! -Risen |

I fell hopelessly in love with a girl who was studying in England but had to return to America. It was tough, walking out of her room knowing I wouldn't see her again was probably the most gut wrenching and emotional experience I've been through. There is nothing I can say that will make it easier for you. However, just stay in touch for a while, give her the hope that things could somehow work out and who knows? But it is unlikely. I did visit New York to see this girl but things weren't the same and we parted amicably. I slept with other girls during out time apart and she probably saw other guys. Trust me, after a couple of weeks apart the jealousy is blunted and you get back into the rhythm of single life. |
