Post subject:  Awkward personality! NEED HELP!

Lately i've noticed that almost every conversation that I end up with someone just end up awkward, I believe I have a hard time making friends or building relationship with people. I feel like I have hit the rock bottom of my life at this moment, I can't connect with anyone at all. Please help!

What's up man. When does the awkwardness strike? Is the whole conversation rocky and then ends up crumbling? Or do you have quality talk and all of a sudden it's just sinks into the abyss? What kind of people are you talking to? Where are you meeting them? Are there any activities you're into where you could join a club?

There's just one question I want to ask you...

Have you developed a personality?

I hit a big time depression all throughout middle school and some of high school, it was awful. I was a robot until senior year where I started developing a personality. I wanted to be cool, badass, and a ladies man. Found out that my true self is sarcastic, easy going, and funny. I want more people in on this, because hitting rock bottom isn't play, social awkwardness is something that needs to be destroyed asap.

Depression is a complex problem,it does'nt happen overnight. It's the result of
longstanding personal issues that was not noticed or taken action for by the individual until it becomes a full blow depression. It's the soul's way of waking itself
up from the sleep so to speak and forces attention to it.It can be painful but that's the way it usually pan out until the person realises his mistake or wrong assumptions or view of reality.

Medical people say it's a brain chemistry imbalance but what led to this state of affair? Luckily some people have concerned family or friends but some suffer in silence as the issue can be too personal to share with anyone. Some take a lifetime to sort out. Those who are brave and honest enough to do their own soul
searching or take stock of their lives tend to make useful progress. Good luck.

It's a common problem. One thing that helps is having a lot of material to work with. And by that I mean topics and subjects you can readily discuss. I've known really sociable talkative guys and they get themselves into some really awkward conversations from time to time. But they never run out of things to say and they just redirect the conversation on to the next topic. They know when to cut the bad thread.

Let's just say practice make perfect. I'm sure you have witty lines but it's just a matter of whether it comes to your head fast enough, put those lines into your normal life, even when you are just talking to a friend. The common mistake ppl make is to treat picking up, talking to girls and life as an separate entity. You dont just behave and talk the way you are in front of girls, you can joke around with everyone, after a while you will pick up the sense of humor.
