hey guys im joining this forum but need some advice!! im going around the world in 4 months so i had to split with my 1 and half year girlfriend - the thing is i still (love) her. tonight i gota call from my freinds who are out and they called me telling me she was with another guy who looked like me!! its been less than 1 month. Please can i have some adive on how to get over her and start over!! certain questions: what if she calls me? shall i see her again? if so what shall i say? what about old photo's? what attitude shall i keep? any help would be much appriciated! thanks J-1 |

A chick told me this advice once; if nothing else, it may give you a healthier frame in which to think of things: "Every relationship you have that fails, happens for a very specific reason; It's to very specifically prepare you for the next person you meet, who will likely be even better; You learn skills, You learn about yourself, and what you want, and become stronger (stronger game)" So, to look at it like that, No hard feelings about old GF, it was like a bootcamp for the chick you're about to meet abroad. We get in our minds that we'll never find a GF better than the one we just had; Why do we feel that way? Does that make any logical sense? Hope that helps. |

stick and move. you have already won. keep your eyes on the next prize. the best way to "get over it" is to meet new people and not mention the X to your friends. they do not want to hear a pity party or be part of unnecessary therapy. yeah, you can be in love, but you have to chiggity check yourself before you wiggity wreck yourself! sometimes easier said than done, but do your anger-denial-depression-acceptance asap and get back in the game. more fish in the sea! now, keep fishing!

FOR ONE THING, YOU GOT TO BE CONFIDENT ABOUT YOURSELF AND DON'T LET HER MAKE YOU INSECURE. I SUGGEST GO TO A CLUB OR A BAR AND MEET NEW PEOPLE. BUT AT LOOKING AT YOUR GRAMMAR, I THINK TO MEET NEW PEOPLE IS DOING DISSERVICE TO THE OTHER HOTTIES AND TO OUR ART. IF YOU TWO WEREN'T MEANT TO BE, THEN MAYBE AFTER YOUR TRIP SHE ALREADY FOUND HER SOULMATE. THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING.
