Post subject:  How to get over Resentment?
I try to ignore it but I can't deny I feel this way.

Don't you guys ever feel resentment towards girls, that they basically hold all the cards and can choose to have sex whenever they wish. I really don't like this. I am like the subordinate to them, they have the power. This causes resentment, it makes me pissed off honestly.

The only defense men have against this is calling women sluts it seems. but i feel like im always getting used or played by women.

I feel your pain man. I've been (and still am being) shot down by a lot of girls.
I thought they were ignorant bitches and it's easy to feel resentment towards them.
However when they bitchy, you'd think they are like that all the time, but they do that to FILTER OUT guys they don't want to date. They prefer to have you think she's a bitch than listen to boring-ass chatter coming from an AFC.

Do yourself a favor and read "The way of the superior man".

You will understand women a lot better.

I think this is a valuable thread because I think a lot of people deal with this kind of emotion of resentment. In fact I just watched a video earlier today where a very respected psychologist said that of all the emotions, resentment is probably causing the most problems in the world. It's a really important emotion to talk about and learn how to address. I hope more people join in on this thread.

I'll check it out later. Does he talk specifically about resentment and ways to overcome it? Hopefully he doesn't just say the equivalent of "it's no big deal, just get over it." For some people I haven't found that helps. But I'll have to give it a listen to see his advice.

give the philosophy a shot and see for yourself, no one will be able to give you the magic answer to your problems that you are looking for, unless you can see the answer for yourself, even if it is right in front of your nose, you might never get a whiff of it

I still have this, what can i do to help get over it.

Like right now i feel that even if i got tons of beautiful women, i would still resent them for not liking me earlier. I especially get mad when women who are definitely below my level treat me like shit.

i know this is egotistical and insecure thoughts, but this is how i feel at this point in my life.

A few years ago a girl told me, who I later found out in unfortunate circumstances fancied me, had told me previously that "no girl was worth effort". The feelings were mutual but it wasn't a smart thing to say.

That chance of a relationship and her behaviour did cause me to feel a lot of resentment and I do have some trust issues with girls.

I can relate, dude.

I've had a few experiences with certain women where I got fucked over big-time. But it was mostly LTR shit. So now, I look at women and think, "Pfft, why the fuck should I bend over backwards for them?! They're all gonna screw me over." Hopefully that doesn't sound too "nice guy"-ish. To be honest, I mostly can't even be bothered with women anymore; they're just not worth the damn time, I feel.

So I can relate to the resentment part. I feel women are highly overrated and the ones that are full of themselves are the worst offenders. I'd like to say "Not all women are bitches" (and I can allow for a few exceptions, like family, etc.) but I just don't believe that.

My optimism for women has gone down the craphole. I wish I had more advice for you. I'm hoping someone here has a solution to our problem...
