Post subject:  Drugs, rejection, and thinking too much afecting inner game

Im coming close to finishing my 2nd year at uni and have spent the majority of it experimenting with drugs on nights out in the hope that it will boost self confidence.
In my first year I met this sexy french girl and we hit it off. We chatted loads, hung out, got drunk together and then I told her I liked her which is when i got the 'nice guy' speech. This has sent me a clear message that Im going wrong somewhere so I recently stopped smoking weed altogether because I was constantly on edge and was fully aware of everything around me. Questioning every decision I made. You could say I'm empathetic which is something that I hope can be put to good use.

Basically I've overcome the drugs thing on my own to prove to myself I have some sort of willpower but my question is, where do I go next for this constant overthinking of situations and obtain the ability to toughen up emotionally?

You can't use substances to feel more comfortable with your anxieties, insecurities or problems. You have to confront them. Make a list of the top 10 things you are most scared to do socially and start knocking them off the list. What you are most scared to do is what you should do first.

This is a fun exercise man enjoy.

Cheers

alcohol in small quantities is GREAT. I used to use it all the time when I started.
Problem is when you abuse.

where to start? from the beginning yeah? start by doing the most hard thing you think you can't do. After that, everything else will be easier.
Imagine you have to eat 3 frogs. yeah frogs. 1 small one, 1 normal one, 1 bigger one. where should you start?
if you start by the small one the next one will be a enormous challenge, you might not even do it.
If you start by the bigger one, big deal, the other 2 are easy because they are smaller.

Hope you get the idea.
