So I was watching this thing on T.V. last night with Derren Brown about making your own luck. He went to this little village made a rumour about a dog statue, and if you rub it you get luck. He got a reporter to go round telling this rumour so people started to believe it, this " Reporter " stayed in the village for 3 month building this rumour up so much people started believing it they won, did and had stuff happen to them out the usual. Then he did little test to see more positive people to un-positive people, First he got this comedian to pretend to have a flat tyre and who ever out the two people he would do a gig for. Out of the two random people interview One that embraced life and took a positive side to life and the other person a miserable guy who didn't love him self or life. So he went to the un-positive one saying will you help me etc... He said no sorry I don't have time I have a business to run they both owned Bars, Then he went to the positive one will you help me she couldn't but she got someone who could and he offered to do a gig at her place and she made 3 thousand pounds because all the people coming to watch him. What I am trying to say is the way you look and embrace life will help the outcome of it. Hey man I saw that too. In fact I just signed up because I wanted to reply to this. I think Derren really hit on something in that show. The thing that struck me the most was the guy who missed every good opportunity, simply because he went around never believing that anything good can or will happen to him, as a result he missed so many great opportunities. On the other hand, those that left with the belief that they were going to experience more luck were far more open to the situations that could and did produce a good outcome for them. |
