I am a very shy person. I know I'm funny, exciting to talk to, and that I get along with everyone, but sometimes I am not able to pull that out during a social event and become very shy. What I started doing (for example last weekend) was blasting some good pump up music. Everyone has their favorites I found mine and its the Bongo Song by Safri Duo. Rock out, dance, do whatever you want... but it really helps set the mood for a good night.

After I blast my music Im usually in a sociable mood. As I walk to my friends, I say hi to whoever I see just to keep the adreneline up and my confidence at a high. I also noticed that if I do not talk for a while, I tend to slowly become less excited or not as sociable, so I force myself to talk to people when I catch myself in this position. Overall It's a way I've been able to keep myself in a strong sociable mood ultimately in order to show new people what I have to offer.

My point is...

BLAST your favorite tunes and go crazy.

Get into a social mood by talking to new people (if you mess up you can always walk away... whats the worst that can happen?)

and

Make sure to keep your mood at a high, and catch yourself when you are starting to drop...

This has really helped me and I have met a lot of new people.

BTW here is the link to the song I listen to that really helps meL

I think that this is a really good point. I actually stumbled on something like this while I was at the gym. I would listen to hype music when I was getting ready to lift weights and while I was lifting weights when I noticed a girl I wanted to talk to. So I thought if it works for weights, why not women. I turned on the song "Go Getta" and it was on from there. Haha but yeah...great point.

Great thread. Me and my wing always get pumped up before we go out to a party with loud music. I like N.E.R.D. - Rockstar and Foo Fighters - The Pretender.

T.I.'s rapping style just screams alpha. (Not to mention it mentions my state in the song!) Haha, REPRESENT!

By the way, if you listen to T.I., he always brings up "The Game" in his lyrics on his last album.

"Cause the game feel like the real n****s on strike", he does this in multiple songs. If you replace the N-word with "AFC" or "chump" it literally flows like he's talking about the game. And he doesn't use the term PUA he uses playa, it's pretty cool!

And in another song ("Hurt" /w Busta Rhymes) he's just listing off alpha male characteristics: "Talk loud. Act real. Act right, lay low." The list goes on.

Even if I'm just starting to see patterns where there was actually no intent, it's still awesome.
