Guys, I am 26 just got out of my first real relationship. While looking back on it I realize I general lack of understanding who I am and what I am good at doing, really fucked up this relationship.

How does a man figure out what natural talents he has and exploits them? How have other men out there got a clear grasp on who they are and what they are good at and then figured out a profession that matches this.

Thank you

Just try as many different things as possible, see what your good at, and then keep doing it. Remember that few people are naturally amazing at things, but with practice you can get better at anything.
Good luck man :)

I agree that you feel a bit lost at this point but the issue is not some big need to suddenly discover fully who you are. Your story is ongoing and evolving. It stops when the heartbeat stops and I'm guessing you want that stop time as far as possible into the future?

No, the issue here is: what do you love doing so much that you'd pay to do it? Perhaps it's a sport, a hobby or whatever.

Look at what you're really passionate about in life and enjoy.

And whether you did or did not "fuck up" your last relationship is always going to be a matter of opinion. And since when were matters of opinion the boss of you and your life?

It takes two to make a relationship work.

When you break up there is a sudden loss of personal identity that follows you. So do not feel helpless or crazy because you don't know what or who you are.

So I would and did get into pick up and have found a bit of identity from that. Other then that it would be good to go to the gym or start a hobby.

I would say try different things. The minute you get an idea, go for it. Try it. If you fail, then try again. Never Give Up. But be aware that there is a possibility to re-define your goals. If you give up, you loose confidence.

Its just a matter of trying, again and again and again. The last year I have been the following;

Musician, Author, Motivator, CEO, consultant, Poet and Now Im trying programming. I value economical comfort and so I have been looking in to studying to be a therapist. If I jump on college I have food and roof over my head for at least 5 years, and after that a License so I can open a clinic. And the best part is that I already help people, its sort of the first thing I do when I get up in the morning. So I am passionate about that already, I just need a license to get a boost of confidence and so people trust me. And along the way I get access to supermany lectures.

I would not say that I have given up on the previous skills. Its just that I have re-defined my goals to align me with something that feels more satisfiable. And now I know what talent I have and what not.

So, try. Again and again.
