Well I am basically looking for some tips on what outfits I should wear to college. I go for my enrollment next tuesday. I normally wear dress shirts and jeans but it gets so boring after a while... I want to try out some new looks , I have no idea where to start though. and my budget is 100 pounds... |

I am guessing your from UK. So follow the style in where you go. The main thing is not to dress for peoples approval. I go to college so if you have any questions I am glad to help. -Joe- |

To be honest, there are a lot of different clothing cultures out there. And some of them will make you noticed. Here are my 2 ones. - The down-the-lane-Grease clothing: Usually this picks up quite well. It's just another T-shirt with some big drawing on front, with an awesome leather jacket and a jeans pants. Don't forget to grease up your hair! - The upcoming-model: This one is a bit of my current style when I go out (daygame/nightgame) It quite got me a lot of success(compliments) and I've been trying it for only a 1.5 weeks. The outfit consists of a jeans pants (a bit damaged, worked with scissors will give it a nice effect), a t-shirt with a small drawing(logo) and a cardignan. I work with a white t-shirt and a light grey cardignan. Good luck ≠ LD |

When it comes to college most people don't care how they look when they go to class. But honestly I would dress what is comfortable to you and whatever you feel good in. If your not comfortable in something than your confidence and self-esteem is not going to be as high. |

Hi scorpion, for college you don't want to over do it so I would recommend just a couple of trendy tshirts, pair of slim fitting jeans and maybe a jumped and cardigan so you can just mix and match depending on the weather. For trainers just get some plain black converse or if you want something more trendy some boots from river island or top man. All saints has some cool, moody clothes that a quite trendy at the moment however it's quite pricey but there is a 70 percent sale on right now. Check out some of the independent clothes stores in Brum as well, there are quite a few nearly blindly place and also oasis Market isn't all alternative and you can find some cool, unique tshirts for a good price. |

Right, you are at college and you like to dress smart. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you don't full in the grandad look I am going to assume you are an average size guy (not overweight or super skinny) so if you are either of those let me know as it will change things around. Firstly, something like ![]() This is probably a little too smart and formal. The shirt is too business. Therefore, prehaps you could swap out the button shirt for something more like this: ![]() Personally, I think a style like this could also really work - it has a good look to it: ![]() Again though that is pretty formal. If your cool with it maybe go for even more casual and scrap the jacket and go for a T, jeans and an awesome cardigan: ![]() If you wanted to make that a little smarter you could always get some darker jeans (in my mind, dark - not black - jeans look smarter). Personally, I rock a style like this (i'm 20): ![]() and while out clubbing something like: ![]() The important things I try to do with my outfits is go for mainly darker colours (dark greys etc) BUT with at least 1 thing of bright colours. For me, if I was out clubbing (the last picture i linked) I would probably wear a darker shirt and throw in a really bright tie (neon pink, blue etc) just to really stand out. You all good for watches etc? If your not wearing a tie, i suggest an awesome necklace like: ![]() Hope that helps! |

Something to bear in mind about uni is that it's much bigger than school, so you've got more groups to hang out with; you'll find people with similar tastes/interests to yourself instead of pretending to be someone else to fit in with other groups. Essentially, do what you like and you'll meet people to suit you. |
