Post subject:  When a Prop or Peacocking statement is questioned/insulted?

Firstly, I am new here, so I apologize in advanced if this topic is in the wrong section, or already covered elsewhere, I did have a good look to see if it should be anywhere else, but this was my best guess.

---------------------

Even before learning about the PUA community I had always been a fan of going out wearing stand out accessories, such as scarfs and simple necklaces. But I feel my game could improve by becoming a little more ambitious, or at least I plan to test it.
I was wondering what good responses anyone might have to when a prop is immediately questioned as opposed to instantly admired in a positive way. What are some good replies to

"Are you wearing eyelIner?..."

"Why the black fingernails?"

"What's with the cowboy hat?"

"Are you trying to be Neo from the Matrix with the leather coat?"

"Nice cowboy hat brokeback!"

Just to name a few that I see as likely sort of questions.

I don't feel that replying with a simple
"I like standing out!"

Would be good enough, in my experience unless they are already in the attraction stage, the response is nothing more then

"Ah.... Cool."

Any tips from your past experiences would be greatly appreciated gentleman.

I actually use a response like yours more than anything else. I just say "ok," and dismiss them. It isn't so much about having the perfect comeback as not spiraling into a childish argument because a stranger decided that my hat was weird, or my vest was gay. These comments always come from complete strangers, and if some random dude thinks he will get laid if a girl sees him mocking someone for their appearance, well good luck to him.

A quote "the greatest insult an enemy can suffer is to be ignored" sums it up. It is a much stronger response than any comical one-liner.

Peacocking is a tool that causes people
to feel interest, which compels them to give you more attention. No matter what she says, you just stick to the routhine.
