Post subject:  Body Language 101

Hi guys,
I was told that BL is very important when it comes to pick-up as women don't say it when they're interested, they show it. So it is upto us, to understand when they show it and make the appropriate advances. Therefore, I've spent the last couple of days reading and studying body language, going to the mall to observe people's body language etc.
So, in this post, i'm just going to share with you, what I learnt in the last couple of days.

NOTE: I have just written the most important gestures and signals. There are tons more to learn about body language. :)

Now listen up, there's 3 rules of reading BL:
RULE1: Read in clusters ( do not interpret by a single signal. Observe her BL before and after the signal for a current reading)

RULE2: Check for congruency (her words may lie. but her BL never lies)

RULE3: Read gestures according to context.
EG: In BL, if she scratches her head, it means an expression of doubt. But it can also mean that she has dandruff.

HAND SIGNALS

1. OPEN PALMS: Dogs show their throats to convey submissiveness. Men show their palms.

This shows that she is open to what you are saying. It is also a sign of submissiveness and if she is showing the open palms while telling you something, it means she is telling the truth.
Eg: If she tells you that she is not interested in you, but she has her palms open, that means it is safe to persist. But if she has her palms closed, while saying it, you better leave.

2. PALMS KEPT OUT OF SIGHT:

When a person hides his palms while talking, it's usually a lie.

3. PALMS DOWN:

This is a sign of dominance. People are more likely to obey your request when you expose your palms. Giving people orders while having your palms down immediately comes out as authoritative and while it is appropriate in the office (if you are the boss) it may come out as offending while you're out sarging.

SMILE

Smiling is THE most important gesture anyone can make. If you want to create instant rapport, then SMILE!

When a woman smiles, it does not necessarily mean that she is interested in what you're saying. Maybe she's faking it. So it is important to identify when her smiles are genuine and when it is fake.

A smile is achieved by the constriction of 2 facial muscles. While the fake smile just involves the movement of the lips, a genuine smile involves exposing the teeth and wrinkles at the eye

ARMS

CROSSED ARMS- A sign of defensiveness. A person with this gesture does not want anything to get out or anything to come in. If you're target is assuming this position, give her something to hold on to (a prop) so that her arms uncross and will become much more open to what you say.

STANDING WITH ONE PALM CATCHING THE OTHER HAND'S ELBOW:

Is a feeling of insecurity. Givin some reassurance to this person will earn you great points! :)
Other gestures with the same meaning : Hugging her handbag or her shopping bag etc.

NOTE: Touching the elbow of another person momentarily and lightly creates attention, reinforces commitment, highlights a concept and increases your influence over the other person.

In terms of body language, a male female interaction happens in 5 stages:

STAGE1: Eye contact
STAGE2: Smiling
STAGE3: Preening ( Sits up straight, tilts her head, plays with hair etc)
STAGE4: Talk
STAGE5: Touch

The 12 most common IOIs women from around the world give men when they are attracted:

1. Head Toss and the hair flick
2. Wet lips and pouting (Mouth slightly open)
3. Exposed wrists
4. Looking over the shoulder
5. Rolling hips
6. Self touching (When a woman slowly, touches her thighs, neck or throat, if the man plays his cards right, he will be able to do the same to her)
7. Limp wrist (A submissive signal used exclusively by women)
8. Fondling a cylindrical object (She telling you about the things that are yet to come)
9. The shoe fondle ( Image search in google)
10. Handbag in close proximity (She keeping her handbag close to you means that she is ready to share her private things with you.)
11. Leg Twine (An act used consciously by women to raise attraction to her legs)
12. The pelvic tilt

The thing about body language is without practicing to observe, you tend to misinterpret the signals. And at the beginning, when you're having a conversation, you forget all about body language. Thus constantly remind yourself to observe other's as well as your BL during an interaction.

Hope this helped you! Cheers! :D [/u][/i]

The feet point toward where the person wants to go and is thinking also as the are link to the pelvis the genitals folow the feet.

But remember not to over analyze body language!

that should be number 1 on any list about body language!

It's not. Handbag in close proximity is a sign of acceptance and being comfortable with you. Read it today in Body Language by Allan Pease.

Edit- I say read as in I read it today, not for you to read it today.

You mean this?

If so then I think you are reading things wrong. In it it says the following:
Quote:
DISGUISED ARM-CROSS GESTURES

Disguised arm-cross gestures are highly sophisticated gestures used by people who are continually exposed to others. This group includes politicians, sales people, television personalities and the like who do not want their audience to detect that they are unsure of themselves or nervous. Like all arm-cross gestures, one arm swings across in front of the body to grasp the other arm but instead of the arms folding, one hand touches a handbag, bracelet, watch, shirt cuff or other object on or near the other arm (Figure 76). Once again the barrier is formed and the secure feeling is achieved. When cufflinks were popular, men were often seen adjusting them as they crossed a room or dance floor where they were in full view of others. As cufflinks lost their popularity, a man would adjust the band on his watch, check the contents of his wallet, clasp or rub his hands together, play with a button on his cuff or use any other gesture that would allow the arms to cross in front of the body. To the trained observer, however, these gestures are a dead giveaway because they achieve no real purpose except as an attempt

to disguise nervousness. A good place to observe these gestures is anywhere that people walk past a group of onlookers, such as a young man who crosses the dance floor to ask an attractive young lady to dance with him or someone crossing an open room to receive a trophy.

Women are less obvious than men in their use of disguised arm barrier gestures because they can grasp such things as handbags or purses when they become unsure of themselves (Figure 77). One of the most common versions of this is holding a glass of beer or wine with two hands. Did it ever occur to you that you need only one hand to hold a glass of wine? The use of two hands allows the nervous person to form an almost undetectable arm barrier. Having observed people using disguised arm barrier signals on many occasions, we have found that these gestures are used by almost everyone. Many well-known figures in society also use disguised barrier signals in tense situations and are usually completely unaware that they are doing so (Figure 78).
If that is the article/ebook you are talking about where does it say a girl is attracted to the guy if a girl pulls her handbag closer to her? Allan seems to say the opposite of what you said.
Quote:
Handbag location - if a woman keeps or moves her handbag close to the man this is a sign she is attracted because it is almost an extension of her body. She may even caress the bag or ask him to pass it to her, a sign of intimacy.
