| Post subject: | They See Me and the IMMEDIATELY LOOK DOWN |
Ok well as sad as it is I enjoy when women check me out. Usually I wear sunglasses so I can observe them without giving the creepy vibe, although I know how creepy that sounds. On my way to work I practice my walk Ive noticed most girls see me, notice me for a second and either look down or away. I thought it might be because im intimidating them because I have a lil muscle. But I dont give off the dangerous vibe, Im usually on the way to work so im clean cut usually a bit of stubble and a messy just woke up hair look that takes a 15min to do. When I walk i kinda try to be a laid back alpha; straight back, chest out a lil touch of swagger ahah NOT TOO DRAMATIC! Kinda like Vinny Chase from Entourage. Has someone else had a problem with this? Because when it comes to game, the times I dont wear sunglasses and try and get the inital solid eye contact hold before I start a conversation is really effected. Any ideas whats going on? Im in Sydney not sure if it means something just putting out all the information. |

Thanks for the reply Ezo..Na champ.. They look down and walk past. I get this a hard topic to get help with cause you have to see me and the "look downs". Is there anythin particularly that leads women to do this soo i can take corrective action? The major thing I keep thinking is I must be intimidating them but I dont see how. My female friends arent very helpful cause when I ask about the intimidating thing they just laugh it off. |

Maybe you appear needy. To get too intense eye contact can be a bit "oh my god what is he gonna do now!?" and they hide. Or you werent interesting enough. Aaaah that might be something... no... just another regular guy... |

I tend to agree... Let me put it this way: a girl WILL LOOK DOWN or away if they see something Really Ugly or Really HOT.... I don't know which one you are ! Cheers Mate !

Lightbulb thats an interesting idea, so its like a hard wired thing... Well i prefer thinking of it that way than me intimidating them, Hows successful are your approaches of the ones that look down?

Maybe something about your appearance and vibe is too "I'm hot, look at me", just a possibility. I haven't seen you. Also it could be the "he's hot" look down. For me I know if a girl is checking me out because I see her and then pretend I haven't noticed her, and then I look back at her just as she walks past and catch her looking at me and she looks away. Maybe the glasses is exactly the thing you described - glasses hide the eyes so it's a bit untrustworthy, they can't tell where you're looking so they look away. Get rid of the glasses and get used to not perving like I had to, and see how things go. |

A person looks down when they meet you on approach because they are avoiding the social requirement to acknowledge you. For whatever reason people choose not to interact, but it's probably not for any reason related to you. It's an indicator of immaturity and also social anxiety. I have always looked people in the eye when they approach me, and I think that can be a little unnerving. A few months ago I started intentionally saying hello to every person that came up and passed me while also looking them in the eye, and it's actually been really great. If I was in an area where I might know people's names, I would use their name, like "Hey XXX," or something. Speaking forces acknowledgment, although some obviously socially awkward girls will still just mumble "hi" while staring at the ground and hurrying past. |

The rules I generally go by as far as eye contact goes are: 1) Dont give a peircing stare, but rather a laid back look (almost as if you are smiling with your eyes). 2)Make sure to have a smile (not a "creepy guy smile" but rather the one you get when something great has just happened to you). 3) Dont be the one to break contact. This one is a pretty great tool because if she breaks eye contact, it's generally submissive aka looking down (unless you've been mean-mugging her or giving the stink-eye) and if you both hold eye contact for a while (I'd say four seconds-ish) then it's a good IOI and you should deffinitely move in and work your magic. |

Quote: Usually I wear sunglasses
Of course subjectively the situation is very different when youre not wearing sunglasses so it might be hard to compare (are they more likely to look when you have no shades on?) but my idea is: They cant see your eyes, so they dont know wether you are looking at them -> looking directly at your face would be weird for them cause the usual objects of interest, your eyes, arent visible."What if he doesnt pay any attention to me until he realizes that im staring at him? How embarrassing would that be AND if that happened i wouldnt even know!" maybe its that. i think theyre mostly intimidated by not knowing if youre looking at them and avoid as much of the discomfort as possible by acting like youre simply not there. But on a fundamental level im alarmed by your post cause its the kind of thing that i myself sometimes feel tempted to post or atleast think about and its JUST awful dont you think? unfortunately so far i dont have a solution. |
