Post subject:  Super hero t-shirts?

I hope it's alright that this thread has multiple questions but it's mainly about the super hero tees.

I have a SPAM t-shirt with the old school logo on it (yellow oval with black bat inside, the rest of the shirt is solid black). On several occasions I've had women tell me they like my shirt out of the blue. All of my friends say they've never had this experience with their own super hero shirts.

Would this (or any other super hero tee) be an appropriate peacocking shirt?

Also, if a woman compliments me on my shirt (not an accessory) should I still play it as if she is opening me?

Lastly, (and this question can really apply to any t-shirt) this shirt is a bit old so the symbol is kind of faded. Would that automatically disqualify this as a shirt to sarge with?

Thanks

It may be that you're so super cool they may actually be saying it to get their attention so in fact read underneath and they may very well be saying "I like you"

True or not, its an ice breaker so use it.

In response to your last question I would say go for the 'old shirt' look, people generally like the classic look. Don't wear the shirt if it comes from when you were 12, or in any way makes you look it. I personally would say go for it though.

I would say no on the superhero shirt, maybe underneath a long sleeve, but probably not on it's own. really depends on the shirt its self, but as a general rule i'd say no.

If a women complements your shirt dont think of it as her trying to "open you" girls dont think this way, most people in general don't. Think of it as she wanted to talk to you, so GO WITH IT. Play along, use it as a conversation starter, as her if she has any, or if she has a favorite super hero, and maybe from there ask her what power she could have if any from there.

If a girl comes up to you to go out of the way to compliment something, it generally means that she just thought it was cool, but go ahead and use to opportunity to talk with her.

I personally like the superhero T-shirts cos i'm a huge comic buff and that is just me to wear them. so i think it's a matter of personal choice, don't be afraid to be yourself dude.

i also love any T with goofy shit on it. my fav is one is an all black and a little fluro pink that says "I LOVE YOU LIKE A FAT KID LOVES CAKE" and the chicks dig it like crazy. i've had all kinds of women compliment, from teenyboppers thru HBs to married women on their 40s with their husbands next to them.

Go crazy with the shirts mate

I tend to agree with that. I used to wear an old Buffy T-shirt but it just had the text "Welcome to Sunnydale" on it. You'd have to be a fan of the show to recognise it was fan t-shirt. A few months ago I was shopping and saw a 'unique' t-shirt which had lots of superhero comic exclamation bubbles with Pow!! Biff! and all that stuff on it. I thought it was cool. I've never worn it outside as it now seems so trashy

man, i think superhero tshirts, or any tshirt with some logo on it besides the brand name can def work but it all depends on your style, your personality.

for me, i can't wear that kind of stuff when I talk to women because it doesn't relate to my personality. it gives off the wrong message, and when my personality kicks in the girls might misunderstand or get confused.

but hey, if it works for you then do it! a good thing to keep in mind though: with superhero tshirts, there are so many to choose from. i'd stick with the most popular superheroes since those are probably the ones women know, such as spiderman, SPAM, hulk, ironman
