| Post subject: | posture tips |
Hello all I belive a good posture is the key for a good openning, it screams "Alpha". The problem is, spending my high school days hooked to a CRT I (as, I belive, some of you did) developed bad posture (bent back), this might get in your way without you noticing it (this is hard to figure by yourself and no one is willing to comment on the problem fearing you might take it as an insult). bottom line - posture is importent. Having so, I wish to ask, Do you have any good tips or techniques on how to straighten the back? I red the alex tec. it's very helpful, but only when you notice yourself. a good exc. I know is the "Back pull ups" - you lie on your stomach, hands and legs straight, then you puth them four to the air in the same time, for about 20x3 reps. |

Ill tell you this. Military style. Shoulders up back and down. Do that mentally and it will work. I used to have bad posture untill I joined the military and that what they always yell. Shoulders UP, Back, then Down Simply. Suck your stomach in, fill ur lungs with air and relax. |

totally good posture since it shows security. body language is very importsant since they way you sit or stand is transmitted you can see in more confident guyshow they sit aside from non confident. whnever you sit sit like you are at home with you r legs spread like you own the place. dont walk like you are a fighter or something just walk with a good posure or else it would look boring |

I am not sure why you presume most Alpha Males sit straight backed? Most lean back, and spread themselves out look at Durden in Fightclub. Just don't hunch over things. |

For posture, though I'm still working on it, I've found a few things that are helping me. One thing is just FEELING confident and it will start to show in the way you carry yourself. If you're walking around thinking, "Yeah, I'm the shit", it will show in your posture. Another thing that has been working well for me, after becoming so obsessed with the PUA community...( I pretty much eat/sleep/breathe all of this knowledge now, even though I'm still a beginner at game, the things I'm learning are working wonders for my inner game) is constantly consciously observing the way I'm standing, sitting, or moving... and if something isn't quite right, I adjust it... for me, it has been a matter of adopting these things as a habit, and not just an idea of something I'd like to change. |
