Yea... this article isn't too helpful... I read it and at the end I couldn't tell if it was geared towards guys or girls... and none of its suggestions would work... at least not on HB7-10. |

i think its aimed mainly at young teens, maybe from a magazine etc, as in the article they mention 'the talk' to your parents - presumably about the birds and the bees. Which im pretty sure (and hope :s) for most of us is in the distant past. |

While I agree on the majority, I feel #14 is incorrect or needs clarification;14) don't use stupid hand gestures. To me gesturing is a natural habit. I have to talk to people in a professional capacity and to me, using gestures helps convey both messages and a sense of confidence. This can also be said when talking to anyone, just having you hands down your side, albeit not in pockets, does not display confidence. Using your hands to emphasise words and actions should be used. So, IMO, hand gestures has to be a yes. If you stick your thumb up women if and when they smile, no. |

Agree with officedog, hand gestures should be in context and not random gestures. It also helps convey the message across in negs, jokes, and even regular conversations... |

Agreed. But it's 100% directed at helping women, not men. Good for IOIs though.

For male body language, I found this to be very powerful http://www.scribd.com/doc/273432/Julius ... d-DeAngelo Was mentioned and recommended by DeAngelo, that chaper specifically. If you can find the entire book on Ebay/Amazon/in your library I'd suggest reading the whole thing. It's incredibly interesting. Dro |
