It depends on the style of suit and the quality of the suit. |

It also really depends on where you're going. At upscale clubs, it definitely looks sharp, and it's even mandatory some places. Of course, avoid wearing the serious, boring suit you'd wear to work, interview, or Bar Mitzvah. If you're going to a more "down to earth" type of place (college pub, rock bar, etc.), it tends to look a little silly and try-hard. |

I like to wear the suit jacket with blue jeans and a nice white cotton botton down shirt, and some shiny black dress shoes. I never wear the whole thing tho, its too conformist for my style.. |

Wearing a suit have a lot of advantages... but then again it has to suit you.. If you look uncomfortable in it, don't use it. And for normal gaming it'd probably be better to dress lightly.. I mean light, as in that a straight black tux may be considered heavy. While something in shades of gray, perhaps with pinstripes. A fitting shirt with the top-button undone, and some nice, not too fancy slacks, and some good looking shoes. May be much more suited for gaming. It'll give you the appearance of an organized, high-value person, if done properly. But then again; use stuff that suits your style.. if a suit is not your style.. don't wear a suit. Look at James Bond to see how it can be done.. I think I remember him having some pretty decent suits in the last two movies... not too dressed up, but casual suits. Clothes do convey a certain amount of personality, so keep that in mind. What would you think of a person wearing this ? What would you not think ? |

I think suit's are great! you can't wear one to a dive bar obviously but if you wear it to an upscale place, definitely! Think like Christian Troy from Nip Tuck. People notice you because you look damn good! People will ask you, "why are you wearing a suit." I always say, I had to do some business haha. They don't need to know shit...You do it because you want to... And when you are talking to girls, they will want to know what you do. Don't tell them...Just say "talking about work is boring, I'm sure we can think of something more interesting to talk about....Where is your favorite place you have traveled?" More power too you brotha, Every so often i get the urge, i throw on a suit and I never have a bad night....let me know how it goes! |

Thank you all for the replies. I like wearing suits so I was curious as whether this was a good or bad thing when it comes to girls. I guess it depends somewhat on the venue; but generally positive replies. |

well a suit is very good for formal events you shouldnt wear a full suit to a club or a bar. you'll just look like your going to have a business meeting in that bar/club lol. but a suit should only be worn in its appropriate events. If you so get a suit makes sure it fits you well, go to your local tailoring services and get that tailored so it fits well and good. ALSO buy the book called Details: style manual for men |
