Post subject:  Natural Peacocking?
Basically, I was thinking last night. Would having ginger hair be a form of peacocking, as generally if you go somewhere, at least 80% of people will have blonde, brown or black hair. However, I doubt anyone is going to be opened due to their hair colour. Only just turned 18, so havn't really had a chance to go out clubbing yet, wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the subject?

I would lean to yes. I would style it some so it can be more eye catching.

Kind of goes hand in hand in one way with material peacocking. Girls, for example, will wear certain shades of make up to compliment their eye color. If you style your clothes right, you can use complimentary colors to accent things like hair color.

This is a good point. When payday comes, I'm going out for a new wardrobe, what sort of colours do you think go well with a darker gingery-auburn kind of colour?

Im gonna put the cat among the pidgeons for the sake of my own understanding.
Is it really achieving what peacocking aims to achieve, I wouldnt say theres more social pressure on you, so its not a DHV in terms of people seeing that you are accustomed to this pressure.

Its also not really giving an excuse for women to open.

Perhaps a light green shirt? In advertising class last year we learned about how stores color compliment there window displays. I'll see if I can find the color wheel and I'll post it.

"Complimentary colors are colors that are across from each other on the color wheel. Violet and yellow are complimentary, Blue and orange are complimentary, and red and green are complimentary. I couldn't find my notes from that class but that is kind of the idea. I'm sure if you Google search something involving the color wheel and advertising you can find stuff.

I actually thought it was going to be a psychology colour thing like yellow makes you feel like this and stuff like that.I ve read something similar before but cant remember where. A friend who studied marketing told me they learn about this. Like how a product looks and what makes you think or feel in a subconscious level. thnx though.

I don't think NATURAL peacocking "is about" material peacocking ("wearing shit"). When I think natural peacocking, I think of a certain type or color of hair. When I think material peacocking, I think of a style of shirt.
