| Post subject: | Reviewing my dress |
Basically, having just got into pick up, one of the first things I realised was that my dress sence, to put it bluntly... was BORING. Im about 6'2", skinny, with short/medium length hair (it's definitely too long to be concidered short, but I would also concider it too short to be concidered "medium" length hair). I got a few compliments on my last haircut, so I'm pretty content with that area. Working down, here's where the bordom strikes. The plain tshirt (white, black, grey, I've even got one in a dark green! ) with jeans (Don't get me wrong, they're pretty nice jeans) look is, admitedly, very boring. With this, I have black trainers which are also pretty smart as far as trainers go, they are kinda like plimpsoles (spelling?), and are very subtle (I have a friend who always has these crazy trainers with these bright blue and pink plastic bits on them, he somehow pulls them off, I put this "crazy trainer" thing down to him being a basketball player, it's something I've seen among a few basketball players, but i've digressed now). The winter is my saving grace to be honest. I have this pretty nice black duffle coat which is pretty smart & casual at the same time (although I've started to see quite a few around college recently), and also have this pretty cool red scarf (which thankfully doesn't clash with my hair colour, as I have a pretty dark kind of ginger) which has a subtle yet effective, almost asian, indian-ish print on it (not in a tacky way either). Unfortunately, when the warm weather sets in/I'm inside, its be blue jeans, white tshirt... YAWN. Don't mean to come across as fussy, but huge graphic prints really aren't my thing (even the couple of band tshirts I have are basically just logo's). Anyway, any feedback would be really helpful. Cheers, FW |

What, like button up shirts? Yeah, I've got a black one (which I wear on decent occassions) and a white one. May have a look round for a couple more. Got a £20 H&M voucher for Christmas, may head down and see what I can find next time.

Depends where you go. very easy to dress nice. Always have accessories. Jeans, dress shirts, dress shoes, and throw something over the dress shirt. Always Layer your clothes! From dark to light ..or light to dark WHen I went out to my last modeling party. Dress shoes, jeans, beige t shirt, black dress shirt (with ruflle things going down), Nice jacket (30 bucks from a semi decent store), and a coat. and a scarf. and a top hat looked sweet. with a dress shirt, throw on a black vest and a tie. or a dress shirt with a sweater vest thing. Read fashion magazines and look at manacins in stores. Im good with this stuff now, since i had a fashion designer take me out shopping for 5 hours. You do not need high end lables to impress girls. need more help pm |

If you wnat to take it slow, and get comfortable dressing nice.. I suggest going out and buying some Polos (kind of like golf shirts) most are striped horizontally. (to wear casually) then slowly start trying to dress nice Remember you do not have to go into expensive stores! Go into them and look at examples of the manicans and shirts, then find similar ones in other stores Pick up some Dress shoes (Spring has cheap ones i got sick ones for 30 bucks) Black dress pants. A jacket (not a suite jacket) does not have to be expensive. Then build on your basics. Depens on your look and hair colour so me im blonde Lots of black/blue = basics dress shirts, sweaters etc then you spice it up..get a coloured scarf (like purple for me looks great) or a coloured tie. Make sure patterns are not the same. You can have a ///// tie like that and a dress shirt like === (representing the patterns) You would not want something like \\\\\ ||||| unless it was very apparently obvious |
