I have used an "affliction shirts" opener as of recently, and it goes like this "How do you feel about guys wearing affliction shirts?" Surprisingly enough, many girls think that they are for douche bags. Just my 0.02. Btw, feel free to use that opener. |

honestly, a girl saying a guy is a duchebag because the shirt he wears... doesn't deserve me. Its a shirt, and has skulls and monsters on it... don't generalize poeple over it. |

Lets be real: they're lame shirts. Coming from a person that trains in a MMA gym, it pisses me off to see so many posers wearing Affliction and Tapout clothing as if they are tough guys. No girl looks at those shirts and actually believes the person wearing it is tough or cool. |

Sure, If you think those t-shirts make you look cool and tough... don't wear em... Your bodylanguage will prolly tell that you 'think' that... You might pull it off in a metal-club were prolly there are that chicks digg those designs. But in your run of the mill club... prolly not. But thats besides the point that girls judging people solely on their t-shirt... not what I'm looking for. |

i agree ive been competeing in judo bjj and muay thai off and on for 8 years, and hang with a lot of guys that do fight mma. no one i know that trains wears them. i will however wear tshirts from events i have competed at and such. they seem to bring a little more credibility.

I dont see the how it makes someone look like a poser. Thats like calling a person wearing Polo a poser because they arent a jocky; or calling someone wearing a basketball jersey a poser because they arent LeBron James. I think you should wear what feels right for you. |

again. ripping on fashion is a tough thing to do without looking like ur trying to prove something. its easy for the girls to see through. i buy alot of ts from buckle, they fit well, are soft and comfortable, and i like the designs, hurley for instance. its better than abercrombie at least cuz although hurly keepstheir logo prominant its not screaming advertisement and they do different things with their style, they take risks, make precidents, and are just cool. but yes i bought my affliction shirt at buckle without even thinking "oh its affliction" i just liked it... |

Hey tough guys, congrats on training to fight but I think those brain cells are running a little short if you think every man rocking an affliction shirt is out be the next Kimbo Slice. It's a shirt. They're standout, interesting and flattering shirts. I get all kinds of compliments when I wear them. My only advice is that they are such noticeable shirts that if you wear them too frequently you'll become 'that guy'. And as we all know, you never want to have your style summed up with a clothing brand. |

Personally I hate affliction shirts, there gaudy. I don't see someone who wears them as a poser though, maybe a douche, but not a poser. Tap out shirts however... |

I only have 2 affliction shirts. Most of them are just too loud and kind of annoying to look at. They have great designs, just too much going on. And the only reason girls think they are for douchebags... is because its true. lol Even MMA fighters don't wear them with the frequency of a lot of Affliction fans. The shirts should also not be the primary attraction of your dress either and if it is...douche. If you like affliction and arent a badass and even if you are a badass, learn to dress yourself well where the shirt works WITH the outfit. I've debated this a lot with people, forgive the rant. |

I noticed a lot of "Affliction" shirts on the Vh1 show this season. Personally, I don't like the shirts and I see far too many of them in the club. When they first came out they were cool and unique, and now everyone has one. One of the points of PUA is to stand out and not blend in to the rest of the masses. I'll quote Sinn on something he said on his blog. Quote: Simion is wearing an affliction shirt proving only douche bags wear affliction. And rapists.
And that sums it up for me.

if you wear an affliction shirt you will look like a douche bag cause thats what most douche bags wear...as much as you like to think girls dont generalize most of them still do.... |
