Post subject:  How to stand ALPHA? and stay like that

at work .. i find myself slouching. standing on one leg or putting all the weight on one leg .... my feet angle outwards instead of right next to each other.. my shoulders are slouched. and my hands go in my pocket or crossed..

i am tired of it .. i want to fix my posture .... but i keep reverting to my old one .

i feel so unconfident when i do this ..

same with sitting when i am in school ... i try to sit alpha .. meaning back all the way to the back of the chair... feet next to each other ... leaning alittle forwards .. hands not crossed and not on the face ..shoulders relaxed

but 5 minutes later i go from that to ..... sitting on the chair as if i have no back bone .... feet crossed. ... hands touchign the face ... or crossed. shoulders tensed ... i keep finding myself correcting it back and forth

i find after a while of constantly fixing body language it starts to slide into place, yeah it feels akward for the first while, but if you persistantly correct it after a while you will internalise the new way and do it without thinking

You will get used to it.

Keep at it! I will also recommend that you keep Alpha thoughts in your head too as this will help induce Alpha body language. What happens when you get lazy with your thoughts is that it bleeds through into your body language and is evident to the world. Good BL comes from the inside out, when we fake it, it comes from the outside in. The root doesn't matter, what matters most is what we see on the outside. There's nothing wrong with faking it, but once you've adjusted your inner mind, the rest will follow naturally. So keep an thought on what's happening on the inside.

maybe its just me... but I feel like it just comes naturally when I'm in my element. Like, lately, when I've been feeling relaxed and content, confident in myself. I just naturally walk a little bit looser and upright.

Keep in mind that the most confident posture is often the one that leaves you the most exposed.

I'm not sure, but in school? That posture comes over to me as try-hard.

Offcourse I haven't been in school for years, but what I remember of what alpha male in school is, its the one that leans and has his friends standing around him?

Yes that does look like slacker elsewhere, but school I'm not so sure.

the main feature of dominant body language is wideness. straddle stance. expose your testicles, standing with your feet wide apart. stand up straight.

standing right in few steps:
- place your feet parralell with your shoulders
- bend your knees marginally all muscles in your legs should be relaxed don't tense em up, do adjust your feet to get this right.
- thrust your pelvis forward and tense your abs
- inhale deeply so your chest expands and goes up, your shoulders should automaticly get the correct position, when you relax your arms & shoulders, your hands should be beside your body and not in front (or worse, behind).
- chin up
- exhale and last but not least relax!

This is not only for looks, but also a healthy excercise.

I agree, I've experienced the same. By beeing aware and changing my posture I've set a good forward but it has always been an exercise. After working out for a while, even now I do often slack out, the right posture feels the most natural (and looks best in the mirror :p)

Or learn how to stand at attention like they do in the military but not be as stiff while doing it.
