I seem to have a problem figuring out what hairstyle/cloths would look good on me. So can I get some ideas on what hairstyle would look good, and what looks fashionable (And where to get it). The college town I live in only has Pac Sun, Zumies, and a Macys http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1728322xd1.jpg http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=173022dg8.jpg P.S., the cloths I'm wearing in that picture are about the most fashionable I own. |

u look pretty dorky... no offence, whats with that jacket???!!! burn it... anyways, are u wearing it becuz ure cold? but something more outstanding, more stylish, that jacket looks just plainly random, unzip your jacket, (it really looks bad) but some other jackets, have some marks or things on it, not just a random plain blue jacket that doesn't even fit u! |

Take a look at the hair cuts on male models and pay attention to those with long faces like yours. And I agree with Playboy on the jacket on that you should leave it open or get rid of it. |

Alright, Your post isn't exactly helping me.... I don't exactly know what fits me/ what is stylish... otherwise I wouldn't be posting here. I'm looking for constructive criticism, and pointers, I already know that I look dorky. Is the jacket too small? anyways, are u wearing it becuz ure cold? but something more outstanding, more stylish, that jacket looks just plainly random, unzip your jacket, (it really looks bad) but some other jackets, have some marks or things on it, not just a random plain blue jacket that doesn't even fit u! EDIT: sorry if I seem offended, I'm quite drunk. |

If i was you id look for a brighter more detailed jacket such as the Ed hardy style then wear a plain t shirt underneath like a plain black or if you cant splash out on Ed hardy or anything like that wear a bright cardigan like pink or blue with a contrasting colour underneath. I wear a bright blue cardigan with a yellow t shirt underneath or a pink cardigan with grey you need somehting that makes you stand out but doesnt make you look like your trying to hard. As for fitting i tend to wear standerd fit jeans maybe alittle baggy and tight cardigans that either perfectly fit or are maybe just a little bit to small. As for the hair try and grow it and see what that looks like if it looks shit the great thing about hair is you cut it off. Ill upload sum pictures of my transformations if u want to see hope that helped |

Hey man, I recently had the same problems you do with fashion. I am not fully fashionably literate yet but I am working on it. Fashion really depends on what you want though. What kind of look do you want to achieve? Do you want to have a more highly fashionable look? Or do you want something else? One thing that I can tell you is be aware of the fit of your clothing. A friend of mine pointed out how clothing that fits correctly makes a huge difference, and since then, I have noticed it on everyone. It really does. I can't tell by the pictures of the puma jacket, but the seams on the shoulders should be at your shoulder blade, if they are not then the jacket is too big. It looks like it fits decently although in my opinion, it is not visually appealing. As for shirts, try getting slim fitting ones. If you can not tell by looking at the shirt, the trick i learned is that if you hold the shirt on its side at the seam from the bottom to under the arm you will notice that it either curves in or it does not. If it curves it is slim fitting. One company that makes great fitting T shirts is Hard 8. They fit amazing but they are expensive and not available everywhere. If you are on a budget try H&M. If not, Macy's has good stuff too. Ed Hardy shirts fit pretty well although I would stay away from the ones that blatantly advertise. Macy's has a good selection of Blazers as well. I bought an "Inc" Blazer and it fit awesome. Sometimes I will wear a blazer and a good fitting t shirt. You can even buy plain white t shirts. If you want more of a high class look you may want to try a dress shirt with a sweater or shirt over it. The jeans in your pic look like they are too big on you. Try getting ones that fit more snugly. You seem to have a similar build to me so I would guess that you are a 32 or 34 waist. Also make sure that the length is long enough but not too long. I bought some slim straight jeans at the Levi's store. The look great so I would try slim straight if you dont have a preference. Also, try to get darker jeans. Black or Indigo. Darker jeans look better/ more expensive or so they say. They also match more of my shirts. If you don't know what you are looking for, ask someone or bring a friend. I lucked out when I went to the Levi's store because I was with a friend who was into fashion and the kid that worked there that was helping me was also really helpful. As for hair, I cant help you much. I wear my hair spikey and messy and I like it. Try going to a Salon and just asking if you dont know what you want. Usually the stylists have no problem helping you. You may want to take care of the shaving and also if you have any hair between your eyebrows, remove it. Girls can spot that shit. I used to get my eyebrows waxed which I do not recommend because it is painful and it sucks. And some girls loved it and some hated it but almost every girl noticed. Basically what I emphasized is fit. And that really makes a huge difference so just be aware of it when you do shop. If you are not sure about what style you want try picking up a GQ, Complex, or Details magazine. They usually have lots of ads that will give you great ideas. Also you may want to try reading Brad P's fashion bible. You may want to try accessories like rings, or chain, etc. Also known as peacocking. Great stuff can be found on e bay Also try: kinowear(d0t)c0m ( I am new so I can not post links yet.) This site had some really helpful articles about everything from belts to jackets so I would check it out. Most importantly pick what you like. Pick what suits you. Don't change your fashion for the ladies, change it because you want to. From what I have seen in the field, what you wear makes no difference. A friend of mine went out in a baggy t shirt, jeans and over sized dirty trench coat and still had amazing interactions, it was funny and eye opening. I hope this helps you a little. Take care and post some after pics. Green Ranger |

Oh and I forgot to mention colors in my last post. From what I know if you have a light complexion and light features you will want to wear lighter colors. If you had a shirt that was light blue, (like the stripe on the puma) pink, green, or white that might work for you. Although, I have light complexion and blue eyes and I constantly disobey this rule. As for constructive criticism, here it is: Someone mentioned that you look dorky in a previous post, this is not true. The problem in your pictures is that your posture is not great, you look unhappy, and your hands are in your pockets. These are issues that you should fix. They all display bad body language/nervousness which says more about you than what you wear. The hair needs some work though lol. Someone mentioned to try growing it a little, which you should. Otherwise you look pretty decent. Just work on that other stuff. |

ur pics are a little deceiving i think. doesnt really give us much to work with other than ur body language, but id fix your hair man... i'd grow it longer then get it styled/cut. Like short back and sides, longer on top, with some product in it. look around at celebs and mags and find a hairstyle u like. u could shave it but may not suit u then u need to accessorize so u stand out more... your jacket is not that bad man. its very casual though so i prob wouldnt wear it at a club, looks like a college outfit, something u would wear in the day. your jeans look reasonable, from what i can see. i'd go out and buy a decent collared shirt, roll up the sleeves, maybe a couple of buttons undone. get some nice shoes, prob white, those with your jeans and a nice shirt should be a good start. honestly man i've seen worse, just try and get a bit more 'dressy'. personally i dont think these forums is the place to get fashion advice, given that we come from all over the world... different places have different trends even within the western world. i'd ask some girls. could be a good opener for u! plus maybe u can game some hired guns at stores! hope this helps mate |

alright if you want to know to dress.. dress like a male model. the whole thing with modeling is you have to STAND OUT FROM OTHER MODELS.. which the only way you can do that is with clothes.. Wear FLARE but keep it limited from one BIG article so you don't look too out there.. I rock either a bright orange shirt or i'll through on my gold shoes (i'm white) and a black and gold belt. The gold shoes are topic openers from girls, guys whoever. For your hair cut suggestion. GO TO A GAY GUY.. girls will do what they think they'd like on you but a gay guy will do what they think will make YOU look good. A tip for everyone who has shorter hair.. ASK your hair stylest to cut your blend from the short sides higher up on your head were it starts bending up to the top of your head. by doing this it brings out your cheek bones a lot better. Also if you can find out your heritage and then go and look and the hair style that best works with that.. i have a very european look and have a european style cut which is unique and stands out as well as goes well with my bone structure. MY THOUGHTS ABOUT CLOTHING SIZE: leave the baggy clothes for her to sleep in or you. dress in nice fitting shirts and pants with a good cut American Eagle has a good cut and if you shop their sales rack good jeans can run 14 dollars. the issue with TJ max and all those is the quality isn't as good higher quality if your going to go for higher HB they pay attention to detail soo consider this or be cocky about how your clothes rock. but if you don't have the best figure work on it go to the gym work out i'll be happy to help set anyone up with a workout but take care of yourself since you live with your body for the rest of your life. soo take care of yourself and pride in what you accomplish. if you aren't to toned wear a fitted but not too tight shirt. but as you get more in shape (months to years) you'll get more compliments and can pull of more fitting shirts Just my thoughts tho. |

hey buddy try online shopping, a great website is http://www.asos.com ... not sure where you live but if i go shopping in london, the store manakins are alot more well presented that in my local ones. Look at what they have and try it on, usually in citys they have great fashion ideas on posters and the manakins. another idea is ask a females opinion when in a store shopping, could be a good opener if thought about right?[/url] |
