I never buy torn jeans for the simple reason I am a broke student and you get longer wear from normal jeans, also the wear looks more natural and in my opinion better if it is done naturally.

Am I the only one that wants to walk into A&F and just point out to the salesperson that the jeans are ripped? Be like "um, excuse me, I don't know if you realized. But theres a rip in these. Thought you should probably know"

Two years ago I would have been saying yes, but now its a big no. Torn jeans are on their way out again. Right now you should be looking for well fitting (this does not mean skinny) simple jeans. Avoid anything that isnt straight cut or slimmer. I'm not saying that you need to go out and buy a pair of 504 skinnys and apply them with a paint roller but in general people look much better in tapered denim.

Try the jeans at Express. I've bought my last three pairs there...unique stiching and styles that get noticed. I've had a few compliments, including my ex who noticed I was "finally starting to dress with style."

Plus, there's a ton of girls who shop at Express, and you could use it for a day 2 (the "help me pick out jeans" angle)

Torn jeans? I say yes...a pair of jeans like that to go with an unbuttoned black long sleeve shirt and a peacocking t-shirt underneath? Plain, simple and nice.

Now, no. As someone said, torn jeans ARE going out.

Well fitted ones are now in style, but not skinny. Skinny jeans, over the age of about 15, screams "regressive teenager" even if you are nineteen.

G-Star are great for this at the moment. :)

torn jeans are for cookie cutter high school kids who want to fit in. be different get a pair of diesel jeans or true religions if you can afford them! i love them to death! there a tight fit jean more euro style. but if you like a loose fit but nice design i would recommend a Diesel Zaf jean. they have a bad ass western cowboy touch to them i have a pair i rock'em at the beach! but for a budget for jeans under 200$ i would recommend getting luckys or look into Christian Audigiers Jeans they are unique and styling but only if you have the balls to pull them off! im a big fan of his hoodies and t's but his hoodies are 300$ and up. thank god for mommys credit card :D

I agree with the dude who said ripped jeans are going out and in general Id stay away from them. For your day to day wear a relaxed fitting pair of "scuffed up" jeans are still cool just so long as they dont have actual holes in them if that makes sense. But in general jeans are more about the cut now a days. You want to have a nice clean new pair of raw denim jeans with a slim cut to them. The shorter slimmer guys can pull of the skinny leg jeans really well but if your tall stick with a slim cut. Not too slim, not too loose. and if your packing a few extra KGs then Id recommend a slightly looser cut. Dark colours are really in at the moment. Its all about the back pocket detail so try and get something with a cool design on the back pocket. Jeans are kinda like the background on the canvis now a days. Keep them simple and then peacock with your t shirt, jacket OR shoes.
