Post subject:  Help with Avatar/ Peacocking

Hey all, I am somewhat new to the game and wanna develop a unique style of dress/ peacocking that really catches attention. I wear a bracelet in one hand, a ring and I have two chains. I was wondering if someone could suggest some accessories that I could peacock/ stand out with. The stuff I wear right now does not really catch immediate attention, although once in a while a girl may ask, but thats only when we're in comfort. Yea, so suggestions about how to peacock would be really helpful. Also, can u guys suggest places to buy unique clothes for not too much money. I wear things from Express and Polo, but here in Cali, everyone wears that stuff so it blends me in. My complexion is light brown and I am thinking about getting blond highlights in my black hair. Also, maybe a small nose piercing. What do u guys think?

Quick tip judging from what I learned last night: Do not wear what other people are wearing. In a visual comparison with an AMOG, you will always lose if you are wearing the same thing as them. So that means no more Polo, Abercrombie, Hollister, Aeropostale, or AE. Check out stores that are a little less mainstream. If they've got an H&M around where you live thats a good place to start. Not very expensive. Anchorblue is good too. The point is, you want to walk in looking really good AND demanding attention. People should be thinking "Who the hell is that guy?" when you walk in.

I have long rockerish hair that I have a bandana underneath across my forehead (Hendrix style). Then I'll wear an interesting button down with rolled up sleeves, a bracelet and all the rings I own (all my clothes coordinate). I've also got earrings. When I walk in, I look like a character, but in a good way. This weekend was the first I seriously peacocked, and I had HB8's and 9's opening me.

Take your personal style and push to the most ridiculous limit you think you can get away with. Bottom line, the goal is to make it so people will notice you and open you. Even if you are getting made fun of, you're getting attention. Anyone talking trash is just jealous anyway.

I couldn't have said it better, Fra.

I'd like to add, alot of subtle things can make for good peacocking. Alot of my friends that I often sarge with usually wear the same style shoe, or same color (White is very common). I ordered these 2 1/2 inch Frye Heel Brown Boots. Shoes are commonly noticed by women, and I must say honestly, 8 times out of 10, I will hear "Hey cool boots by the way", or "I like your shoes". I was even on my cell once and I had to step out of the set we were gaming, so my friend took over for a sec (Hey it was an important call  ), so I overheard one of the HB's say, "Hey tell your friend I love his boots". She actually strayed away from the conversation and had to tell me in one way or another.

I actually have quite a similiar style to Fra concerning the rocker look.

My MAIN GOAL is to make the HB(s) wonder, WHO IS HE? instead of the average Hollister/Abercrombie AFC. Women ALWAYS ask me what I do when they take one good look at my attire, and the best part is, they sum you up very quickly once you approach.

When you peacock successfully it can make for:

-Easier Conversation
-More Interest from the HB (Granted, you explain what each peice is there for.)
-More things to talk about (Multiple-threading)

Mystery says, in his first episode of the PUA 2. He shows his two hands with all the jewelery on it and goes to each little peice and says, "What's this for, what's this one for, what's this for, what does this one mean". That's what girls generally have inside their minds.

Ask yourself, what do you do that you can make interesting about yourself? I am personally in a hard/heavy/classic rock band, so I naturally wear that kind of stuff, and act like it.

Look at the situation through a different perspective -

You and 5 guys are walking side by side. You all have the exact same shirt and jeans/shorts on. How can you show you're different? With these limitations, how can you show that you're one of a kind? That's what alot of Hollister/Abercrombie guys run into. This situation happens on a nearly constant basis. Think to yourself, if you saw an HB9 let's say, and you wanted her attention badly, would she catch YOU out of everyone else? If she can find you out of the group while trying to peacock, but with those limitations, think of what you can do when you DON'T wear everything they are. That's when you can almost forget about openers, scince they'll be doing that step for you.

I was going to get the leather helmet and the goggles to wear with my pilot looking set. Im sure it would nearly turn every head. As far as social pressure its easy to handle when your doing something you want to do.... Infact just reverse the frame, instead of feeling nervous when they look at you just be the opposite that the stuff actually works.

I think people are taking this peacocking thing too far. When its done right it destroys but when you go over the top with it your the guy wearing the weird clothes. Use clothes that when separate would look normal but when combined create an eye catching look. Right now I'm wearing a fedora with white square Ray Ban's and some diamond ear rings paired with a plain white V neck t-shirt and some 575 jeans, turning heads wherever I go.
