I've seen a lot of discussion about using rings and necklaces or whatever for peacocking, but I was wondering if anyone uses any of the more "extreme" peacocking apparel, it's success, and if so.. a good source for some of that stuff. I'm talking about some of the classic "cheesey" stuff that you've seen Mystery wear: big hats, over the top bracelets, stupid stuff like that. |

Im not really one for peacocking myself but I do have one item that I guess is considered a peacocking piece of apparel. A lucky rabbits foot keychain is on my key ring and I have one of those things that attaches my key ring to my belt loop. It makes the rabbit foot visible at all times because it will always hang below w/e shirt im wearing and I have had countless girls open me on the rabbits foot asking me if im superstitious, its a great item for conversation. Its even lead to a conversation about superstitions and ghosts one time that I was so into the conversation that my game turned off completely and after I parted ways with the girl I realized I forgot to even attempt to get a number. |

True story. I went out with a pua friend recently and ended up on a sarge. One of the guys there had an accessory behind his ear to "peacock" A penis. I kid you not A plastic penis. Peacocking works but why not wear things that are also socially acceptable. I'm known for wearing deep v necks. It gets me noticed and is acceptable. I also have a streak of red in my hair. A friend of mine has a lip peircing. These things work just as well and fit in without leaving you looking weird. If you really "have to" go all out then make sure you go out with friends who all wear the same thing. This way it looks like a social event like a bachelors party and you give each other social proof. It almost becomes weird to NOT have one. Hope this makes sense. AFC Adam, |

I choose to disagree here. Peacocking has multiple goals- standing out, flaunting your attractiveness and establishing unique features by which you can easily be recognized and remembered.I went out with a pua friend recently and ended up on a sarge. AFC Adam, Someone who is truly confident about themselves can get away with wearing anything. And I mean ANYTHING. Of course the message you want to broadcast with your peacocking is not just that you feel comfortable with yourself, but also that you have a sense of style. Remember, it all depends on what kind of girls you want to get. Wearing a penis behind your ear will broadcast a certain message and wearing a feathery top hat with goggles will send another message. Ask yourself what do you want to say with your peacocking and design yourself accordingly. |

In my mind, peacocking does three critical things (1) Establishes uniqueness (obviously) (2) Amplifies the response - if you're a lone guy supporting the walls, that looks bad. If you're a lone guy in a fur coat with a pimp stick supporting the wall, you look like the mega creep. Conversely, if you're a guy with a girl on each arm, you look cool. If you're a guy in a fur coat with a pimp stick with a girl on each arm, you own the place. So if you peacock, make sure you're amplifying the right response (3) Conveys your personality - Mystery gets away with fuzzy hats because that's his character - the slightly mysterious, almost standoffish magician guy. I think a red streak in his hair would not cut it for him. From what I understand, Adam is a ridiculously cool party guy, so the fuzzy hat wouldn't work - doesn't go with the personality. I started out as a Mystery-wannabe with a fedora. Then fedoras got popular, so (1) stopped working for me - at any point, there would be 3-4 other guys wearing hats in the same club. I once ran into a dude who had the EXACT SAME hat as me (but the sucker paid more for it, haha). Then I moved into the party guy persona, so I started spiking my hair instead. Still not unique enough, so I died it white. Quote: If you really "have to" go all out then make sure you go out with friends who all wear the same thing. Bearing the above 3 points in mind, if say 3 guys wear cowboy hats, none of them is unique (1). If they hang out with no girls around (hey, we've all been there at some point), they'll look like dudes looking to score - peacocked, so the negative response is amplified. I've seen groups of aspiring PUAs wear identical hats before and they just looked obvious - one guy in hat goes off to talk to a group of girls, two other guys in hats join him a minute later. I'm not sure if I've never seen this work because they were just starting out or because it genuinely is harder - my bet is, probably both. There's also the issue of style - peacock right and you look cool. But do it wrong and you're weird. I guess my message is: don't try to stand out too hard, especially at the beginning. The more you go out, the more cool ideas you pick up at clubs and the more your style develops. So give it time. I'm pretty sure Adam here did not get that red streak just after he finished reading The Game. |

i agree and think that you can peacock and not look like a tool.. ive taken to wearing a trillby, first time i wore it out i got a lot of attention, girls were opening me as opposed to me having to go over to them..it opens up lots of possibilities, girls often snatch it to try on themselves, great chance to neg, also if you have your eye on someone in particular you can give it to them for a while so you have an innocent reason to go back and talk to them later.. |

Although it all depends on the person, context, and people you want to attract... I think Mr. Lyons hit the nail on the head with this one Quote: True story.

I wear a pocket watch when i go out. So far I haven't really met anyone else that uses it as a peacocking item so i think its a pretty unique accessory. It also works well if you wear a waistcoat and tshirt as u can have it hanging out of the pocket. It also leads on to conversation about psychology and hypnosis, and (as a hypnotist) can be used to reinforce her belief in your mental powers and hypnotic abilities. For this reason it also works in conjunction with NLP and ESP techniques. If you'd like to know any more, get in touch! Switch |

I've found something as simply as a colorful tie (collar shirt optional, I usually just wear a T) work well. Women seem to want to grab it and pull you in, especially on the dance floor. My favourite is a collar long sleeve shirt, not too dressy, undo one or two buttons, wear a loose crazy ass tie and roll up your sleeves. You DHV by looking like you just came from an important job, but still appear unique and interesting. |

When I go out I usually wear my fedora. Not too many people wear them anymore or can wear them and still look good lol but it usually gets some attention. |
