I know what you mean, you can't really dress up a high and tight. Try rocking a hat, something stylish.

haha ok then, war dog. maybe not the CAMMIES, but DRESS BLUES??? seriously though, i dont think there's much active duty military posting on these boards, so this is a unique challenge for those of us who are to figure out. the way i'm going about it though is working to refine/sharpen my alpha characteristics and how to apply them outside of work. |

In your situation its all about the accessories like hats, scarfs, tie, jewelry, etc |

What branch? I keep my hair boarder line out of regs. The females love it, and I look more like a civilian. Navy regs say smoothly tapered sides and no more than 2 inches of bulk, so as long as you can work a comb and some gel you won't look like a bag of ass. |

I went through Boot Camp over at Parris Island. And the way that I stick out from my friends is that when they try to act all manly and dress all the same, I add a little flair. It's what started me with peacocking. Trying to stand out from my own social circle. I'd go with everyone else and try the scarfs, hats, etc. |

Mmm, the big conundrum for us in the service. Good advice is to figure out the most common traits that everyone does and then do the opposite. Example: In my local area, everyone goes out trying to stand out, usually by wearing strange things or being loud or acting out in ways that they normally wouldn't do in the states. Kind of going out trying to be alpha, when it's obvious they are not. Now, the problem with their actions is what they do would work in the states, but not here, since everyone is doing it. When I go out sarging in areas where I know there will be Americans, I'll dress up a little nice (button up shirt and good jeans), and since I KNOW I'm alpha it's all easy game from there. It took a while for me to alter my game to where I was successful in the local area, but once I got it down, it's been easy-peasy. As for being a Marine, I would assume that you and all of your friends have no lack of confidence, same as all the Marines I have worked with downrange and a few other choice places. Definitely no problems picking up AF chicks, let me tell you. One thing I noticed with them in the various locales was the younger ones kind of wanted to "prove" themselves in some way or another, and always tried to get others involved. I always just sat back and played it cool, and the women took notice to that. Even with just your actions you can stand out. I've helped a few friends with trumping their local herds with the same advice, hope it helps you! |

Well if your head is shaped right for it, go with the fully shaven look. Not only is it somewhat more original compared to most military haircuts, but it's also still in reg's AND in its own way can be kind of a peacock/cheap kino. No idea how many times a random drunk girl would come by and rub my head lol. |

yeah, good advice, smooth criminal. i'm a skinhead myself and girls are just like " oh my gosh! can i touch? it's so fuzzy and nice! if you have the appropriate head shape, it'll be good. and it also makes you look a bit more masculine. i used to have long hippie hair, and people didn't really think of me as masculine in any sense until i shaved my head; girls REALLY started to notice me + other guys started viewing me as more of a though guy because of my masculine looks. but you'll have to put up with some people associating you with nazis, racism and shit like that. |
