Allright, Another thing on peacocking. As most of you know, there are some different views on peacocking and what it gives you. I say, peacocking is great! Especially if you go crazy. Peacocking is not about looking good, it is about being the center of attention. When I peacock I go far out, really far, no giveaways here but take a look at Mystery and you get the picture (Hes my rolemodel)... It gives me: - Social proof, guys come up to shake my hand, high-five me, take photos, get me beer etc etc. I never have to be seen standing in a corner all by myself I am always surrounded by guys (and some girls) who wonder who this crazy guy is and why he dresses like that, and occasionaly where I got my gear... - Good topics for conversation. IOI:s from girls. - Congruency. When I run a totally insane story about whatever, people believe me. No matter how crazy. For the simple reason, if a normal looking guy tells a normal story, we believe him. If a normal looking person tells a crazy story, we do not. You see where this is going. If a crazy looking guy tells a crazy story, we believe him. A guy looking like Marilyn Manson could very well have a harem of 19 year old girls and we would not question it, even though he looks awful. Phoenix |
