I have quite alot of ties since I used to be a business student, and what the tradition has been for me and my friends is to wear a tie when we go out for someones birthday. I've just been thinking about this, but would a tie be a bad thing to wear as a peacocking item? I've gotten some attention wearing a tie in a bar before and it usually goes something like this in mid-convo: Her: Why are you wearing a tie? Me: Why aren't you? *unimpressed look* Her: Well..umm Me: I'm celebrating.. Her: Celebrating what? Me: You ask alot of questions..but if you must know, it's friday/saturday/the weeked! What do you guys think? |

I love wearing ties...if the situation (venue) is apropriate. Me and JB actually had a set that opened us tell us we picked them up bc of the ties. That just blew my mind. So i go with the tie, ocassionally when the scenrio is fitting...either a dressy scenario or sometimes just because. |

I love wearing ties too, nice ties not the novelty ones. Mainly because no-one really thinks of wearing a tie, but they can do wonders if you have limited clothing i.e. on holiday or just sarging. As already stated they also come in handy whilst running sets, or,as in my experience used as openers. Is you walk up to a set whilst in the finishing touches of tying up your tie, ask nearest HB if your tie is straight. More often than not you'll get a positive response as it fulfills the criteria for opening! |
