Post subject:  After Military Beard and Long Hair
For the longest time I've wanted to try growing long hair and a beard but being in the military for the past five years has prevented me from doing so. I get out in early May and start college, at age 25, in September. I understand that I'll have an awkward stage for quite a while but I'll never know unless I try.

Has anyone else here attempted this? What were your results? How did you battle confidence issues knowing that you are giving up a look that made you look and feel 100% ?

Has statistics of what women like the most/least about facial hair. By the way, stubble is considered to be more attractive then being clean shaven or a full beard, but you've got to do what makes you think you look good, because game is more about self confidence (I was flirting with this chick and getting a very positive response, got back to the dorm and noticed I had a giant whitehead...).

You had a great response, I'm going through the same thing. I get out of the military in May too. Personally I can't wait to grow my hair out. Just have fun and you'll forget if you have a clean shave or not. :P
