| Post subject: | (correction) Razor Bumps! |
Well guys i made a post about razor burn a couple days ago and since then i hav shaved everyday. (only 2 days really) Not that it was bad advice but my problem has become worse, it was something i hadnt tryed and it was worth a try to shave everyday to correct the problem. So today i took a look online and i think i hav classified my problem wrong. What im experiencing are considered razor bumps. I didnt think there was a difference but there is. Basically whats happening is when i shave and with my hair type, my hair will either grow under the skin or out and back in. This will produce red bumps and even pimple like bumps on my face. (mostly my neck) Things you arnt suppose to do are shave everyday (fuck) and the closer the shave is not better. Things to fix and prevent this problem sounds easy but i dunno. They say there is a powder which from what i can gather is like nair or veet. Another way is to use a single blade or a special one blah blah (i hav it its called bump fighter are something). Grow your hair out for 3-4 weeks (ill look like a sasquatch wit maim). Laser hair removel (hmm). Perscribed medicine. And lastly i could pull out each hair where i hav a bump wit tweezers so like spend 24 hours ripping hair outa my neck. I think ill be goin wit lookin like sasquatch wit maim to try to get rid of the bumps than goin to using just a single blade or tweezer plucking if my first step fixes the problem. Well if you guys hav any advice on my newly discovered problem awsome and even tho the advice from my previous post i still appreciate the advice. Thx in advance |

I get the same thing and that's why I stopped shaving, except when I used that Ambrosia stuff I told you about. That stuff fixed that FOR ME. I can't guarantee it will work for you, cause it sounds like you have it pretty bad and me it wasn't a massive issue. I say give it a try. |

One thing to try is shaving with cold water instead of hot. I had a friend who had a similar problem with bumps and this seemed to work well for him. It wasn't as close or smooth a shave as he could get, but after awhile of doing this he did have fewer bumps. |

ahhh mannnn i have the same exact problem also on my neck. The way i do it is (seems to be working) same as u i only shave once a week when my hair is long enough so tha way its a much easier smoother shave. I use a sensitive skin gel to shave and also right after my shave i take a shower and i use this clearasel thing on my neck that cleans out dirt and oils it has been working for me give that a try. Sometimes it gets so bad though its such a bitch to deal with and its ugly i was actually considering the whole lazer removal of on my neck also. |

I only shave my face once a week using Edge Moisturizing Shave Gel and a Mach 3 regular (not powered) blade. Here is the trick: Shave when you get out of the shower so your pores are opened up and the hair is easily exposed to the razor blades, Run your razor itself underneath warm/hot water and shave it all off (rinse the blade under the warm water each time). As soon as you get done, turn on the cold water to rinse your face. This does 2 things: Wakes you the hell up! and Closes off your pores so pimples and razor burn zits are less likely to occur. (think about jumping into a freezing cold pool on a hot day) Just be sure to use some sort of balm (not aftershave!) like Nivea for men or Gillette aftershave lotion. I can pull off that edgy bad-ass stubble look so I get away with using an electric razor with the 1 guard during the week to keep it trimmed up... Also try this...go with the stubble look for a while (2-3 weeks) while just keeping your neck cleaned up then just shave it all off one day. Women. Notice. Trust. Me. I'm telling you, you will get a reaction. "Oh Shreder you look so different!" "Wow! you really have 2 different looks depending on if you shave or not!" are just 2 direct quotes from my ladyfriends So gentlemen, If the hair is there, give it some flair! P.s. I wish I could figure out how to maintain and rock the Flame Beard or the Lightning Beard like they show in the remmington trimmer ads...pure badass! |
