Hey guys so this year I'm going to nice club and thinking of an outfit. I'm thinking grey chinos, light blue shirt and Brown shoes I need suggestions for types of chinos and brown shoes can anyone help? I've never worn chinos in my life I just want to know what works with this type of style thanks! |

Chinos - if it's smart, you don't want 'slouch' or 'carrot' cuts (ie; the ones that go down round your backside instead of sitting on your waist), and you don't particularly want skinny cut ones. But other than that, you should be fine with any normal pair of chinos. Brown shoes - how often are you going to wear them? And how posh is the club? Are you likely to spill booze on them/get booze spilt on them (even if you're sober, if it's the type of club where it will be quite busy, with quite a few drunk people dancing, you will get booze on them, whereas if it's more of a bar type club where you can sit down and just chill/chat to random people instead of a massive dance floor you might not). Personally, (in the UK) I go to New Look and buy their brown shoes - look decent enough, but aren't great quality. However, they only cost £15-£20 and they look great for going to a club. Mine get covered in booze and all sorts of crap, but when they're that cheap, I just buy a new pair every few months if they get too bad. However, I've also got a far more expensive pair that I wear for work etc. which I sometimes wear to more smart dos where they aren't going to get trashed. However, a word of warning - this outfit doesn't sound particularly stand-out-ish. If it's a smart do you probably can't go over board peacocking, but this sounds quite a standard outfit. Maybe try to find something like a snazzy piece of jewelry or change the shirt for something a bit brighter. As a very minimum, make sure the shirt fits perfectly, that will give you at least an advantage over those guys who wear horrible baggy shirts, or those that think wearing the smallest shirt they can find will make them look more muscular. |

Try Adriano Goldschmied chinos. They make one of the better chinos I've bought. They are soft and comfortable yet very durable. People can tell they are chinos when I wear them casually but whenever I put on a dress shirt or a blazer people think they're dress pants. Make sure you get them altered to your height. Can be a little pricey. ($138 at Nordstrom's) http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ag-jeans-st ... os/3152473 On a lower end, go to H&M. I typically wear designer clothing but H&M pants do their job well. They are max $30 bucks, so they are more than affordable. If you're going to make chinos a regular type of thing, get about five of H&M pants of different colors/shades. (just don't go crazy on color) I have their dark gray, light gray, maroon, copper, and khaki, so I would recommend those. I'll only respect H&M for these pants. JUST MAKE SURE they are 98% cotton and 2% elastane. The chinos they have aren't that good. You're trying to go for what they call pants. I found them on their website just now. Make sure to try them on and see that they are slim enough yet comfortable. http://www.hm.com/us/product/06234?article=06234-A Regarding the shirt, it's completely up to you. It's hard to suggest something online. Just make sure it's not a t-shirt and that it's tailored. I'll repeat for emphasis- make sure it's tailored. Brown shoes should work. Just make sure you wear a brown belt as well. Regarding shoes, as long as they are high quality, it's hard to go wrong with which shoes exactly. Everyone will prefer different shades of brown, however. So suggesting something is also tough. In the summer I wear loafers/monks, fall/spring-oxfords, winter-dress boots. So if it was me, I'd be going with some dress boots. Boots are more practical right now, for obvious reasons. If you're trying to go for the oxfords, then it's chill also. Thanks guys! I'm aware It's a pretty standard outfit and I'm not out on the pull, I'm going to Bournemouth nightclub and needed smart/casual attire  and thought a shirt and chinos were going to be a great fit for this night. I was worried about the shoes definetly so I will go into next tomorrow cheers.
