New to the game, and was wondering what you guys think of the preppy look? That is what I am into and at this point in my life if makes me stand out. I like wearing button ups, chinos, boat shoes, polos, and sweaters. I get most of my stuff from Polo or Brooks Brothers (outlets so it is realitavely cheap).

I used to dress like that in high school and college, but that's not an endorsement for that look because I was also 23 years old before I lost my virginity . . .

Think of meeting women like fishing and your appearance like bait.

Depending upon where you are fishing (type of venue) and the species of fish you want to catch (type of girl you are after) you need various kinds of bait (different appearances)

A preppy-guy is a nice guy. He is safe, non-threatening, easy to control. He can be brought out to social functions, home to meet mom and dad and on dates. He makes a good boyfriend, husband and father.

If you want to meet "the one" and stay away from sluts and crazy bitches, then that look is very good for those purposes.

Just don't think it will get you fast escalations or annonomous sex, because you are already starting off on the wrong foot by making the wrong first impression by dressing preppy.

I personally wear nice jeans and button-downs with at least four buttons undone and the cuffs unbuttoned and never tuck in my shirt. I almost always wear motorcycle boots instead of regular shoes.

These days my shirts and jeans tend to be fitted, since I lost some excess weight.

Because of this, women see me and expect a very sexually charged verbal or non-verbal conversation followed by a quick sexual rendevous.

As a matter of fact, almost every one of my GF's / LTR's has at some point said: "I always knew I would fuck you, but I never thought I would become your girlfriend"

Like I said, it is just a matter of what you want from The Game and with whom you want it, so start with your goal and work your way back to the fashion that will bring you there fastest and easiest.

Hmm, that's interesting. Maybe that explains my lack of action...?

For the longest time, I've dressed well. I look good, professional - like the OP described. But if what you're saying is true, I might need to dress "down" or more "thug-like" to attract women.

There's so much to learn in this lifestyle...

when you get dressed always think to yourself, what kind of girl will i attract by dressing like this? if it's the kind you want then that's how you want to dress, if it's not, i'd suggest a shopping trip is in order

i try to aim for smart but make it look like little effort has been made (bed head hair, river island top, slim/skinny jeans, canvas shoes (usually red or navy - lyle and scott) actually sounds incredibly cliche when i write it out but hey! whatever floats your boat right? i seem to be doing OK with girls, might mix it up with chinos and start wearing more shirts with leather dress shoes when i go to uni but in the meantime i enjoy what i wear and i'm comfy in it

hope it helps

Sound advice.

I don't dress in any way to attract women, because that's not my main goal in life. I dress in a manner congruent with WHO I AM, not with what type of pussy I want to pick up. Different strokes for different folks as they say.

But for me, to completely change my style just because some broads may not like it, lol fuck them. I don't care enough to please them to alter myself that way.

I just don't care enough what they think anymore.

i understand where you're coming from but surely you dress a way in which reflects your personality also reflects into the kind of woman you would be interested in?

i'm not talking about changing your style to attract different girls of higher class or higher attraction to the overall public. i'm talking about what appeals to you, not the mainstream. one of my friends is quite good looking (no homo) and his girlfriend is about a hb5 at the max, yet he thinks she's the most beautiful thing in the world.

everyone has different tastes in woman the same way people have different tastes in clothes, maybe for all people these tastes do not reflect equally but there should be some similarities.

your dress should reflect your personality and life style, unless you're trying to be someone you are not. which in turn i believe should reflect the kind of person you are and then the kind of woman you might want to attract

just my opinion

I'd say I dress quite preppy and I do attract shitloads of women, it's more about the attitude at how you wear your clothes than your clothes itself. Also what was said before about types of girls that an attire attracts is true.
In gereral girls tend to like guys who know how to dress atleast here in Finland. I frequently wear blazers, skinny ties, boat shoes etc.

Unfortunately I couldn't post any links since I'm new to the forums but a great preppy/badboy look can for example be found at Kinowear . com, under subject:
"Rebel Class" and I will bet that a look like that will attract almost any woman :)
