| Post subject: | Request for feedback on a new look I've chosen for myself |
Hello forum I've decided to give my wardrobe a bit of an update and this is an all new outfit I picked for myself (and also put some trust in a female friends' advice). I'm still ongoing with 'The Newbie Mission' trying to build my confidence but want to know that the threads I've chosen are working for me. The hair isn't so much of a big issue, this pic was taken fresh out the shower so I didn't style it - If it helps to give you a better insight, I normally spike it. (I blurred my face just to protect my identity a little) ![]() To summarise I'll breakdown what each item is:
Let me know what you guys think, what I should keep and what I should change/improve. Thanks in advance |

I agree, wear things that fit tight. It will make you look a bit more muscular and more confident. Rule of thumb for me is, can I see the outline of my body in the shirt? (Yes is perfect, being able to count every bone is to tight). And with trousers, they are to long when you walk on them with the back of your shoes, broken trousers are not cool! (and they will break). And they seem to wide around your hips, make a picture from the back as well. Your ass should be visible. When you don't have much of an ass (which seeing that you are skinny, I don't think you have), pick a pair with back pocket that go around your back, not just on them (length wise). The style seems cool, that's whatever you like. |

Your shoulders should be wide but relaxed(they are wide not relaxed). There is a ton of tension there, we carry stress in our shoulders. Your chest should be pushed out showing pride in who you are (it shouldn't be further in then your shoulders like now). Your stance looks wider than you are comfortable with, it doesn't seem like it's congruent with you. Some of it is that it lacks symmetry(if you put a paper across the center of the pic one leg angles out a little more). This isn't a bad thing but you are trying to show your full front and alpha but it doesn't seem congruent. There is a lot of tension in your arms, they are rigid. You are trying to take up space but you need to realize you are trying to do too much. Your thumbs should be wresting on your pant pockets, and arms rest a little more comfortably. Your hands shouldn't be pressed up against your legs but hanging there framing. The biggest issue is that you aren't relaxed but rigid in your picture. You should carry your self in a relaxed fun manner. The rest looks pretty decent, chest out a little more and more relaxed is all that really needs fixing. You need to take up space with your movements, a still picture isn't how you'll be when women see you in person. In a picture it's hard to convey alpha if it isn't part of who you are. When you move your arms should sway further, your shoulders should be as wide as possible but your chest should be pushed out. I know you say you don't want to look like an invisible roll of carpet is under your arm but you also don't want to look like you are beta. If you want you are more than welcome to watch my Alpha videos, this is the playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... ature=plcp . If you watch it sorry for the long as hell intro, too much fun with the new software at that point. One question, was the camera low and you were looking down or is your head just tilted down? I also agree about the size of your clothes, your pants look huge. |

Hello again and thank you all for your replies - I really appreciate the constructive feedback I've had so far. This is just one outfit I'm treating myself to, so I'll take more care in getting more fitted clothing when I next go shopping to pick another - Roll on pay day lol. I will upload another picture from the back for you soon. Quote: One question, was the camera low and you were looking down or is your head just tilted down?
Yes the camera was a quite low down, I put it down on my desk on a timer - I was focusing too much on getting my whole body in the picture. I wasn't looking directly at the camera but didn't want to give the effect I was looking towards the ceiling (like a thinking pose) either, so probably didn't find a happy medium - I don't have a full length mirror so I'll get someone else to take the picture for me, posing more relaxed and I'll upload shortly (will chose a different T-shirt which is slightly smaller than the one shown and will also style my hair - booked in for a trim I watched all your videos on the playlist on YouTube, there is some fantastic advice, I will go through and watch them all again, a couple of steps at a time to reflect on each and ensure it all sinks in Micky |

Not my cup of tea. I think you don't really stand out, the choice of clothes, fit and colour doesn't really do you or your frame much justice. You seem a slim, athletic guy. Show it off. Be brave, wear clothes you wouldn't normally wear. Look good, feel good. Jeans http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... IM%2BJEANS http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... I was literally just about to post pretty much exactly this. You seem a slim, athletic guy. Show it off. Be brave, wear clothes you wouldn't normally wear. Look good, feel good. Zara is fantastic for slick and sharp clothes but keeping the price within limits. Make sure if you're going to get a white shirt that the lining on the inside of the collar is sharp - all the subtle things count. Same principle applies to all items...a wallet with a massive GUCCI sign on it looks cheap and tacty, a man with a small little gucci symbol in the corner speaks wonders about your personality. |

imo the shirt looks cheap and the jeans arent terrible but r still a lil wierd - the shoes arent bad - a couple things i know about if ur tall and skinny u should wear more horizontal stripes and get a necklace, and wear a white undershirt beneath ur tshirt - the jeans look like rocka-wear or south pole |

don't take this badly, you can change it and it's just my opinion, but the shirt looks like its from walmart and the jeans are too big and ugly. but if thats what the girls you are trying to attract like then wear it. but honestly make it easier on yourself and wear better stuff. get tighter jeans that have a good wash and a shirt that fits better and preferably is either a good brand, or says nothing. |

Thank you again for your replies I understand what your saying Jizza, I admit the T-shirt didn't cost a fortune (was like £20), I'm trying to steer away from dress shirts (women round here dub them 'beer shirts') and especially white T-shirts because, that is what every other guy is wearing - same with shirts with big designer brand names/logos on them, I don't want to come across as walking/talking advertisement. Quote: ...a wallet with a massive GUCCI sign on it looks cheap and tacty, a man with a small little gucci symbol in the corner speaks wonders about your personality.
I agree with this statement quite a lot, although yes there is a logo on the shirt, it's not branded as such but perhaps going a bit plainer is the answer.Similar storey with the jeans, every other guy is wearing jeans (ripped or washed usually) I rarely see anyone wearing cargo style jeans so I felt a little more unique in that sense, perhaps not for the best reasons, but my female friends have paid me a compliment or two on them, so I'm still experimenting on this one. I did pick up on some small IOI clusters wearing this exact outfit from a couple of women, during 'The Newbie Mission' in my local shopping centre, which I'm still doing to get over my AE without relying on alcohol, so when I feel I can progress I may use parts of my outfit as an opinion openers to get some more feedback also. |

It looks awfully generic, kind of. As far as going down a few sizes, don't bother if that's what you like. I wear baggy jeans, and 2XL football jerseys that are baggy. You don't need to have 100% proper fit, like a gay bloke, to attract women. It's style, not conformity. |
