How can I make a warm, fun smile without looking like I want to kill a person?

you're smile really isn't that bad. but you look like you're legitimately smiling in all those photos, perhaps it's a different story when you're posing it.

One suggestion I saw in a book on micro expressions was smiling with a slightly one sided smile, or looking at the person on an angle when smiling. It makes it substantially harder for the person you're talking to to tell if it's a fake smile or not. Something to do with the way the human mind calculates other peoples faces. It finds it hard to notice subtle hints that you're faking if it's one sided or on an angle.

try to draw your cheeks up more toward your eyes and make your smile as long as possible

You know it isn't that bad to be totally honest with you. I think we are all overly critical about our own pictures and look for the slightest thing to say that we looked fucked up or creepy. I'm the same with my pictures but my friends say I look fine. I really do think it is just us being over critical of our pictures and we should take our friends perspective on it.

Your smile is fine. If there's the tiniest to improve on, is maybe more cheek and maybe pull out eyes a bit more to make it more genuine.

Your smile doesn't look genuine. In the realm of psychology, some researchers claim they can detect whether a smile is fake or genuine; one of the determining factors of a genuine smile is the contraction of muscles around the eyes, often referred to as a Duchenne smile.

"A Duchenne smile involves contraction of both the zygomatic major muscle (which raises the corners of the mouth) and the orbicularis oculi muscle (which raises the cheeks and forms crow's feet around the eyes). A non-Duchenne smile involves only the zygomatic major muscle."

Remember, one of the key determinates of a genuine smile is actually in the eyes/side of the eyes as displayed in the pic above

I sometimes get good comments on my smile. I don't really smile, tho. More of a cocky grin pulled to one side.

Kinda like this, but with my head tilted up to look more confident:

You front teeth look really good. IDK if it's the camera, but the rear look a little off white. (which is normal because that's where most food is chewed).

Talk to a dentist. Get a deep cleaning, and look into whitening options.

Also, whenever I smile in pics... i try to think of something kinda funny... or pretend I'm gonna start laughing... Makes it look more genuine.

You don't smile only with your mouth. Your smile is definattely fine
It's your eyebrows that give you the somewhat creepy look: they are straight lines (no curves), so when you laugh, your eyes stay cold.

the problem is not your mouth or cheeks, it's your eyebrows.
I would advise you to work on that point, but your eyebrows are already very thin, so maybe that's not an option...

That's good info right there! I would also add to "fake" a "real" smile, try to think positive thoughts when you smile. It's the best way I have been able to recreate real smiles when trying to capture them in photos.
