Grow some hair on your chin if you feel insecure. |

Compensate by becoming more forward. In other words, look like a 15-16 y.o. but act and talk like a 25 y.o.. |

I don't think it's nearly the crisis you think it is. You look one year difference.....big deal. Imagine how those 30 year old guys feel when they still get carded at the beer store. |

it is also how you dress and groom. if you wear t-shirts and jeans people will think you may be more immature or younger. if you wear nicer clothing, people will think you are more mature, serious, and older. if you can grow real facial hair (no not pubes on your chin) then grow something that would make you look older. dont have shaggy kid hair or anything like that. show that you are well groomed and get a nicer haircut and be more presentable with cut nails and proper hygiene. the little things add up but will make you look more mature if not older |

But I've seen so many girls go for the buff guys with pubes on their chin look.

dress like you're older, grow facial hair (if you can) but bum fluff isn't acceptable, try and fill yourself out a bit more, get interested in "older" things or at least you pretend like you do |

Your attitude is everything, if you act like your 17 you get treated that way...come up with a witty response if anyone tells you that you look young and keep acting older. When i was 15 i was dateing a 19 year old simply because i carried myself in a mature way, we had like nothing in common and after 3 months broke up...but i learned from that people treat you the way you act. |

I can relate, since I am always given strange looks when ID'd. I honostly look like I am between 15 and 16, and I am 22 (I did a survey once in college on how young I looked, as I was very curious). Also I cannot grow any facial hair to appear older either, since I am half-southeast Asian. I can say it is very frustrating at times, as I am never initially approached by woman because of this. However, maintaining a good frame and positive attitude helps. Also working on making your voice and tonality more congruent with an adult helps (I have a very deep voice, which definetly helps shift the initial impression). |

yea dude ive got the same "problem", its not much to overcome, the way i get over it is dress older, when u go out, wear long sleeve shirts and role the sleeves up, this will make ur shoulders look bigger and also makes u look older(its worked for me), plus dont cut ur hair short, thats 1 of my problems, if its 2 short i look HEAPS younger (it shows ur face alot more, so theyll notice how "young" and "imature" it really is), but once i grow it out a bit, and style it a certain way i actually pass for my real age, its how u present urself, theres alot of things u can do with your hair and clothes to make yourself look older baggy clothes a NO NO!, that would kill everything, a nice pair of jeans, long sleeve shirt rolled up sleeves(make sure its a tight fit), cool hairstyle and good body language goes a LOONGG way! plus if a girl says anything 2 u, just look at her and go "....ahh yea? it hasnt stopped me from anything b4" or just go "well when im 25 ill look blah blah blah" whateva age and say back "your (her age), and u already look it, so id give u a few years b4 ull start wishin u had i have |

First, if you are not yet, start going to the gym, build up some mass, makes you look more masculine / less like a young boy. This one is important as no matter how you dress, if your frame is very slim, you will look more "boyish" and less like a man. After that, try dressing up smart, I'm talking shirts, waistcoats and blazers. Facial hair is also a good idea for those who can do it, doesn't work for all. Also your hair is an aspect to think about, if you're wearing a school-boy cut, you'll look like one, try to go with something that is.. maybe bit more business like? Just a few thoughts |

Good stuff here. Dress older, people will think you are. If they don't, it wont matter because you'll have already appealed to their subconscious. Change your dress to suite your needs.
