Post subject:  What if you naturally have bad posture?

i noticed over years that i have a veryy bad posture i always hunch forward, my head. it makes me look like a low self esteem as i always look down, hunched, closed shoulders ect.
i went to chiropractor had X-Rays and guess what. i got Scheuermann Kyphosis!

@$&% it makes me look like an idiot and i'm so self consious about it and always get comments on it.

hopefully it's not so severe. no severe pain ect. but a shitty posture for sure.

and the worst part, the chiro told me "it can be stopped" i was like WTF "can't it be cured?" he just answered with "There are no quick fixes besides surgery. you'll notice progress in posture after atleast 2-3 years of SPAM"
braces are not effective cause, i'm 20. too late for that and he strongly disagree having a surgery because it's not threatning my heath and not causing any medical problems. But the solution he gave me:
-massage for back muscles
-swimming on my back
-avoid slouching, bad computer postures ect.
and he repeats, this will not correct the posture, just the flexibility of my back and reduce pain to avoid future back problems.

What should i do about this, i got horrible posture and i am so selfconsious about it. and poeple notice it! when i correct my posture by standing straight, shoulders back, chest out ect it's still there. i can't help it, i'm desperate and i need some comments about this. so guys what do you think about this posture problems, and had anyone this kyphosis?

Man, I had almost the same problem about tree years ago and decided to change it.

You should look for RPG terapy; Global Postural Reeducation

It will not be from the day to night, it will took about a year, but the results start to poup up in the first two months.

You can do RPG for some months and complementary with Pilates classes.

I've made one year of RPG therapy one hour a week, then started to do pilates classes two times a week.

Pilates classes are also a good spot for hot chicks, theyr body are awessome.

I work too much on computer, so I think is a mandatory to do those classes to balance.

I had a very noticeable problem similar to yours, believe me. And nowdays sometimes I recive compliments about my posture, something like "what do you do to have such posture".

Nothing that worths to have in this life comes easy! Go for it man. GL

Thanks COX.

Will this affect my game? I have social anxiety and every time i get rejected i think that my posture was so horrible because of this.

At college i manage to control my anxiety, look confident and ending up feeling confident, acting alpha between my beta friends.
But every time i pass and take a look at the mirror window and see my poor posture i loose it all, and become self conscious all day.

I need to know if this is affecting my game. that will help me ALOT. if it did then i'll be more devoted to therapy, if it didn't i'll regain my self conscious and keep sarging in spite of the rejection i get because i know i don't have any holdback.

Help.

Do as Style and I have done, do the Alexander technique with a certified teacher, I no longer slump or have hunched shoulders.

If you see the Stylelife challenge he talks about the Alexander Technique in day 1, 2,3

I have something similar but mild. I was diagnosed in third grade and never wore my brace, pretty stupid...

I got a movie camera out and filmed myself walking around casually. Then I tried different postures... trying to square my shoulders more adjusting my spinal stance, etc.. From looking at the footage, I was able to find something that looked the best... After a few months of walking with that posture, it became natural.

Don't worry about this too much. If a chick shuns a guy because he was born human, and not physically perfect, you don't want anything to do with her.

Stretch your hamstrings. It will improve your posture.

This might be the most simple and obvious solution but you could become concious of your posture all the time and keep it on your mind to sit up straight, walk with your head up etc.

I have naturally bad posture too, when I let my body loose and relax. My head leans forward a bit too much and a rounded upper back, it makes me look like an old man. But all it takes is a conscious effort to know when your body is slouching or in a bad position and just correct it.

Stick your chest out so it takes the roundness out of your back and raise your head when you walk. I do this and nobody could even guess that my posture is naturally bad. It feels natural to walk around like this now as I've been doing it for a few years, I don't really have to remind myself to walk taller or sit up straight, I just do it. A conscious effort is all it really takes but I don't really know the severity of your condition. Hope this helps

Post subject:  Egoscue method

Why do you think your back/neck is like that. You think you were born like that or did get to be that way. Most of us were born with perfect posture and through our daily habits have weaken and made our muscle dysfunctional. I healed my back using the egoscue method and so many more people have as well. go to and send them pictures of your posture and they will give you a set of exercises to strengthen and functionalize you muscle to eventually get perfect posture. However menus are 100 dollars. Their are also a few books written about this subject if you'd like to learn more. Please try it out it can change your life. google egoscue method
