Post subject:  Extra subforum suggestions

Although many, many pua's are adolescents, there is no subforum especially for college or university game. A pity!

A real miss is that there is no subforum especially dedicated to sex. Really strange because it is quite the essence of pick up. It's for the great majority of us the primary reason we're into pick up, right?

If there are reasons for the absence of these forums, I'd like to hear them.
If there aren't, I hope the mods are willing to expand our forum.

There is actually a specific topic for this subject: university-college-general-tips-here-vt27052.html
The reason there isn't a whole sub-forum for it is because so many of the things discussed aren't any different for uni compared to "real life" - uni students go to clubs, go around town etc etc.

A quick search would have shown this is frequently asked and always given the same answer:
There IS a subforum specifically for sex, but its in the private membership area. The reason for this is because the forum isn't only visited by people 18+ and talking about how to attract women is not the same as actual sexual technique which is an "adult" topic.

Okay I can live with your answer on my question about college game, but I could hardly disagree more with you about the second part of my suggestion.

Firstly, I find the description given to 'Member Journals' so vague that it wasn't clear for me that that is the place to talk about sexualities. (Is this a word? Well, now it is. :P)

My experience with American people is that tend to be pretty prudish, but is sex that socially unaccepted that people under 18 are not allowed to talk about it? And about that prudishness: Are pua's prudish? Don't think so. But correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Then you say: "talking about how to attract women is not the same as actual sexual technique which is an "adult" topic." You're right. But this forum isn't only a place to talk about how to attract women. It's waaay more than that. It's an online community center. It's a place to exchange the most valuable information we can possibly possess as men. It's a place where men around the world meet friends. It's a place of invaluable value. And: It's the #1 PUA Forum, ain't that true?
Methinks that a special section about sex, available for everyone, could fit in that.

Or are there maybe other explanations for the absence of a subforum about sex? Financial reasons maybe? I mean, the private membership section isn't free from costs and I think I already stressed enough the importance for men to talk about sex in a educational and non-sexual way and their potential willingness to pay something to get into such a place.

Looking forward to your response, as well as to the opinion of others.

Its a good argument you have there - but it won't change the fact that I doubt there will a sex sub-forum any time soon in the main area.

It isn't for financial reasons as the PMZ membership is currently free for people who contribute quality to the forum.

While I appreciate your point of view (and its one shared by many on the forum including some of the moderators) it isn't actually my decision on the sex forum, it's the forum owners decision and their stance on the matter is that the sex forum shouldn't be open to the public for the reasons I states.

My personal view on the matter is that it shouldn't be public as the moderation of such a forum would be very hard - misinformed people giving advice is a problem on the forum and adding healthcare in any way to that is something I personally don't think is a good idea. It's for this reason the idea of a mental health sub forum has also been rejected - there is simply no way to prove the contributes to that forum are proffessional who know what they are talking about - again, the sex forum is very similar in that regard as I am sure you can see how bad information about sexual health could lead to many problems for people.

I know that's not a great answer, or the answer you probably wanted - however as I stated earlier, I very much doubt a public sex forum will be around any time soon due to the site owner not wanting it.

Even if it was up for discussion again, it wont be any time soon due to a new site being developed with lots of new stuff so things like new sub forums would only be added after the new site is implemented.

a) If we teach people to get laid, we have a duty to teach them HOW to lay

b) STD's are a growing concern and much contraction is from poor sex ed

c) So long as people are made aware of rules regarding obscene lay reports I don't see the problem

d) A lot of people are likely to be shy in the bedroom, and panic about how they perform. A forum where pertinent questions can be answered would greatly boost confidence- I actually have a friend who is afraid to approach women incase it led somewhere.

e) If it is an economical viability issue then put it in the membership only zone. More income, greater demand etc. But still allow at least BASIC sexual advice to be made public- even if it were just as a sticky or something. Just a simple 'use a johnny like this' and other basic stuff... maybe an E-book or something?

This actually happened quite a while ago, but I remember what happened.

It wasn't actually the forum owner's decision at all. I don't think we ever brought it up with Gambler since he can't pay attention to everything on this site. We moderators had a vote on it and the vote was to not make a public sex board, with a compromise on making one in the PMZ.

I was one of the few moderators who was actually pushing very hard for a sex board/subforum/section/whatever for essentially all of your same reasons. It sucks that my motion didn't go through, but, in the end, the fact of the matter is that it can still be a liability for the PUA Training company since we aren't a 18+ website de jure. It's just assumed to be that way de facto but, unfortunately, minors still have very easy access. If everything here doesn't comply with the law, that makes PUA Training look bad (and, ultimately, the Seduction Community as a whole since this forum is so popular), meaning that we moderators didn't do our jobs!

Oh, and we can't add shit in terms of new boards or subforums right now. We're still waiting on a tech upgrade to fix some broken stuff. When that happens, I think the site is going to look completely different so you'll know when that is.
