Every where I look I see 1 gram of protien per pound of body wieght. This is so retarded it blows my mind I keep hearing it. If someone is 200 pounds and has 12% body fat he needs more protiend than a 200 pound person with a 30% body fat. So does anyone know a way to actually calculate it. |

I'd be more cautious of over doing it with protein then having too little. Try a low amount say one scoop of a whey supplement and if you still feel you aren't recoveing quick enough try two. Once you are settled into a routine of using supplements dont stick too religiously to it, I did this for a few months and instead of training more I just ended up on the toilet more! The body can only process a small amount at a time so I all else fails just have two shakes a day one in the morning and one at night to spread the load of eat a can of tuna of have some boiled eggs or similar. Chicken is very good for stacking up the protein levels too! |

if ur bulkking/cleanbulking just do this : 50% carbs 30-35% protein 15-10% fat I've been bodybuilding for 2 years now myself thats the way people taught me and it works for me. U just have to see what YOUR body needs to grow everybodys body is different |

If you are building muscle the main thing to do is eat a shitload. Supplements aren't really necessary. While your at it, try to make sure its got lots of meat/dairy in it for protein. Chicken breasts, hamburger, fish, etc. Even frozen pizzas are ok. Avoid things like juice (I LOVE juice) cause its basically like candy. The number of meals per day, the exact breakdown of carbs/protein/fat, the number of hours of sleep, etc. are secondary or tertiary concerns. You WILL get a bit pudgy while you are building up and if your not then you aren't getting the most out of your workouts. |

| Post subject: | How Much Protein |
I work out everyday man. One hour of Cardio, And one hour of Lifting. In my experience its really hard to get to much protein, and really easy to get to little. I take in anywhere from 160-200 grams a day. Eat good high protein foods, and take Protein Shakes. |

if your building eat loads- i aim to eat 2g of protein for every kilo i am. about 3g of carbs (more if your power lifting) if your in the gym 3-4 times per week- and looking to put muscle on, you should be taking a protein shake. you will notice the difference and its easier to get protein in- i take phd synergy iso- a decent all rounder- 36g of protein per shake (2 scoops) and taste good if your not getting enough protein ya wont grow. simple as- people who say you can do without protein shakes are amateurs |
