| Post subject: | Bodybuilding Supplements - Hype vs. Science |
I've been buffing up lately and looking at ways to maximise my gains. I haven't been too impressed with all the supplement industry hype out there so far but two of the sites I really rate are: Supplement Truth - http://supplementruth.com/ and Lean Gains - http://www.leangains.com/ If anyone has any ideas for supplements they have used and ones they can swear by, I'd really be keen to know. |

Supplementation can ASSIST what you're doing physically, and help you maximize your gains. I've tried a lotttt of stuff, and ill give you a few suggestions. Protein (whey)- optimum nutrition gold standard whey- best price, great results, good taste syntha-6- increadible taste, great results, higher price per serving side note--whey protein is great for post workout, because it immediately rushes into your system and gives you a quick delivery. for prolonged delivery (for before bed, or in the morning) you may want to try casein protein, which takes longer to digest. for a medium rate, try egg protein (egg whites in a carton are great) pre-workout - try jack3d to get you pumped up before a workout, thus maximizing the intensity of your workout or try superpump 250...that really gets the job done post-workout/recovery - Xtend is great for restoring nitrogen levels and giving you BCAA (branched chain amino acid) delivery, which repairs muscles and allows them to grow. other things to try- creatine (optimum nutrition monohydrate), or a multivitamin (i like twinlab's one a day) let me know if you have any questions! |

I use the Optimum Nutrition (ON) serious mass as well, but i haven't seen the significant weight gain that it's meant for...Nevertheless, a decent product. Good for you for gaining 10 lbs from it!!

Best mass builder I've used by far is Enlarged Squared. That combined with dead lifts, bench press, military press and squats beefed me up something spectacular. |
