Focus on basic bodyweight training.

Pushups (Variations)
Pull Ups (Variations, if you dont have a pull up bar, BUY ONE, its one of the best exercises period)
Squats/Lunges

You can either go the low rep route or the higher rep route. Both work and I would do both.

Maybe workout A can be your low rep day where you do the hardest exercises you can do. Workout B can be your higher rep day where you do "easier" exercises for lots of reps.

Either way, try to reach these goals.

50 Pushups
10 Pull ups/ Chin Ups
2 Minute Planks And Side Planks
100 Hindu Squats
5 One Arm Pushups
10 Pistols

Those are some quick general recommendations. If you want any better help, go ahead an P.M and i'll be glad to help.

Are u merely making an opinionated statement by telling people to focus on bodyweight training? What are your specific goals with this training? Who are u saying should focus on bodyweight training? Sure, it does have some practical value, but theres only so much one can gain from bodyweight exercises. Idk dude, some clarity would be dope

I do bodyweight. It is great because it gives you functional strength, a well proportioned body and it's as cheap as it gets.

I am very focused in functional strength because my work environment is very macho and people expect strength. If I can't lift my end of a 200 pounds pipe, then I shouldn't be called a man and my clients don't respect me too much.

I haven't exercised in a year and half, but will go back next month.

The feats that I want to accomplish this year are the handstand and cart wheel. They are basic techniques for jujitsu, the sport I do.

Alot of workouts incorporate bodyweight and weight training, but there are also plenty of bodyweight only exercises.

A well known one is "Angie" which you attempt to complete in the fastest time possible. 100 reps of each exercise must be done before moving onto the next.

Angie
100 pull ups
100 pushups
100 crunches
100 squats

100 pull ups to start? That's fucking ridiculous. I don't know anyone who could do this.

doesnt have to be all at once. you can do 15, drop down, rest for a bit, then another 15. obviously the longer you rest, it takes to complete the set.

bodyweight exercises will keep your physique on the smaller side, to get a true, 'sculpted' look, you HAVE to lift weights. what you probably have in mind as your ideal body, that guy is probably a sprinter or mma fighter, maybe an ameteur bodybuilder... all of them lift weights. if you do bodyweight ALONE, youll probably end up too small for your liking. it does burn a TON of calories though
