Hey man, I did it a few years ago. Very solid program, if you're dedicated to it. Lots of variety and by having it on dvd may even help with motivation. I never finished it, due to the time it took up, but I found it helped with my running to some degree - aside from the immediate effects such as increase in strength and flexibility. There's actually a yoga component with it, if I recall.

I love P90X and have been a huge fan for about 6 months now... have never been able to go 90 days strait, so I usually go 15-45 days and restart the phase one of the program...haha. I should really just accept that I loose a day or two and keep going instead of going back to day 1....I am off it now, got pneumonia from pushing too hard! Going to try a new program next...

There is Yoga X, but its not actually really yoga, I gets to balance poses but the first hour is more cardio/strength training using yoga poses.

The Polymetrics workout did wonders for me, I race MX, and I can't explain it but it gave me a huge boost, as does the whole program...

It's a program that gets you active...not really sure if its the program that does it, or the fact that you are working out, but you will definitely see results. The first time I did it, I was 210#, 5' 9"...Fat, In the first week I went from doing 0 pushups on the first Monday, to 25 on next....Thats no bull, not trying to sell you anything...but yeah, it works. I have gained a lot of muscle, and not lost too much weight, but the difference is huge....I gotta take off, but check this out...

You wont see results if your not eating correctly...

Work, sweat, and a diet that you will hate are the only ways to do it, GET FIT...

I recently lost about 70 lbs in 5 months, and I tried P90X while doing that. I made it about 1/2 way. Its intense. Problem for me was I LIVE to lift (now... lol) so I was lifting in the PM and P90X in the AM. TOO MUCH! If your looking for the lean cut look, dude START IT TODAY! If you wanna be BIG... get in the Gym instead. Key with P90X is do it to the T... do yoga, do it ALL. O... diet is 90%... LEarn to eat right.

I'm done in a week with the program. I'll do a second round in a month. It's a very good programm if you stick with it ( excercices + diet ). Sometimes it's boring, but when I see the result it motivates me... I usually listen to an audio book while doing 90x ( pua mp3 or video, or random stuff on netflix ).
I've got amazing results mentally and physically ( I've lost 10-15 pounds, cut the body fat form 19% to 14%, very flexible, happier, from 2 pull ups to 15 ... ) and very good feedback form people on my body. I've got a lot of compliments from women, they really like how my body got tight and lean.

I'm in the best shape of my life, it helped me to build more confidence and I had great improvement in any kind of physical activities ... ;)

It's time consuming, but it's worth it, I highly recommend it if you have 2 hours to loose per day.

P90x is a Godsend for me. I used to be overweight and did the thing for 8 months straight with a few missed days here and there. I've gotten into great shape along with a nice 8 pack to show off. I stayed on the diet and kept working hard everyday. It does eventually get a little time consuming so you may want to clear out a time of the day to do it. But it definitely works if you are trying to get lean and cut. Not necessarily to get bigger though.

The best is to combine p90x with insanity, do p90x on lifting days, and insanity on cardio days... Diet is 90% ... I would start if you are newbe with body for life... then p90x then insanity, and then p90x insanity hybrid, google p90x insanity hybrid...out!

Ive used the ab ripper x after my abs got immune to 8 minute abs on youtube, working out will only make the difference you want in appearance if you have a clean diet.

I'm week 5 in P90x and I already have seen some results. When I jump or breath in deeply, I can see the outline of the abs I never really had because some of the layer off fat. By the time I am done it will be july. Beach season and that means my PUA game will improve. The women will cream their bikinis and pants when they see my god-like abs I worked so hard to achieve. And when I bring them my bed...haha....yes! Six pack will get you HOT women....and with the PUA knowledge, you will be a man among insects!

Do P90x, get the abs and the muscles and achieve your dreams!

P90X is a solid routine for someone with no real knowledge of bodybuilding. It will definitely transform your body if you follow the program and the diet.
You will never have visible abs unless you
1) First build the muscles through solid nutrition and weight training
2) Follow a caloric deficit diet to shed body fat to about 10% or lower.

Are there better programs? Yes, Max OT in particular is much better at building lean mass. But for a beginner, P90X is an excellent place to start.

i recomend the P90x program to all my friends who cant afford a gym membership. I did this my senior year of high school and continued for an entire year. but if u anything like me i got bored with the room i was in and video i saw day after day after day.... its routine, i have discipline but i like to change the gameplan every now and then. after u do the program or even if u fail u can use the exercises and methods booklet and routines later on. i like it and think its good for those who are fit enough to face it.
