| Post subject: | Sweating and Alcohol |
For god knows why, I seem to have developed a sweating problem (underarms, but no where else) and its really starting to piss me off since I'm consantly checking myself, wet down my sides and generally feeling gross, which affects my confidence and also the clothes I can wear (only those that won't show sweat patches). I have a theory as to why this is happening and want to know if anyone can tell me if I'm right. Basically I used to hardly sweat at all, but when I started university in fall '09 it started out of nowhere, from nothing to drenched. This however coincided with me starting to drink heavily for the first time (4 beers a night on average, often much more). Could this be linked? Whats interesting is that when I went to Canada for a month last year I drank alot less and sweated less too even though I was in a hotter climate than I've ever known. Now its winter and I'm back to drinking again and sweating more in the cold than I was in the heat! I've tried special deodorants, but none really work. Its really affecting my confidence, especially with girls (imagine talking to one whilst all you can feel is sweating running down your sides). Obviously I should stop drinking as much, but any other help would be great |

I dont know if they are correlated, but use antiperspirant deodorants, I had the same problem, but not as bad. I stay dry now. |

Try shaving your armpits or at least trimming them. I was hesitant due to stereotypes about it the first time I did it but now I would never go back to having a bush down there. I shave them with a 0 guard trimmer. Plus if you're working out it makes you looked more ripped with no hair there. |

Well alcohol is never good for you, try cutting the beer off and see if it helps, then get back in a few months. Otherwise, try sleeping without the aircon, and having a cool (not cold) shower in the morning, it could be your core temperature spiking for various reasons. |
