| Post subject: | Cheap weight gain diet |
Say, I am completely broke, I'm still in highschool but due to family problems (boo hoo, I have no father and my mother lives with my asshole stepdad, boo hoo) I live basically by my own. My mother still brings me food sometimes, but she doesn't really care much and a lot of times I have to dine cornflakes, or something. I'm going to convince her to leave the shopping to me, to give me money weekly for me to buy my groceries. I'll start to training at home (I'll buy a set of dumbbells, I know the basics of weight gain - been in gym before, I can improvise exercises with scarce equipment). Can someone help me to construct a weight gain diet? CHEAP, I don't care if I have to eat awful things, or the same thing a lot of times, but it must really be cheap. Also, I don't know how to cook, but I'm a fast learner and... Well, I should have learned a long time ago, living alone and all. I'm really small, about 5.6 and 120 lbs. Weird as it seems, girls actually like my body. I wouldn't say I'm ripped, but I have much more muscle than my frame shows, I guess it's because I don't have much fat on my body. They only notice it when I'm not wearing a shirt, of course. |

I would invest in some reasonably priced whey protien bro. I get some from Wal-Mart & it's about 12 bucks & last 2 weeks per can. You can get 50 grams a day of protien just from that to suplement the rest of your diet & it's very healthy protien & low carlorie, fat etc. Drinks like a chocolate drink. You could probably get the rest of the protien you need from what ever you eat now as you only need about .8 grams of protien per pound of lean mass i've read. That's the way I would go. Otherwise you might eat a lot of double cheese burgers off the dollar menu from McDonalds, but that's not healthy. Still burgers pack a lot of protien. Generally the cheaper you go with meats though the more fatty unhealthy & lower quality they are. I can't stand Tuna, but that's a staple of a lot of body builders &'s cheaper than chicken breast I would think. Maybe you can eat that. Very healthy & lots of protien in it too. |

Dont get hung up on protein! Muscle is comprised of glycogen with comes from carbs. You need calories to gain weight period! Eat a balanced diet, Include fruits and vegetables canned or frozen if your budget is tight. Heres some sights that can help http://baye.com/category/training/ |

Cheap sources of protein: Tuna Ground Turkey Cottage Cheese Ground Beef Whey Cheap sources of high energy yielding carbs/protein: Brown Rice Quinoa Whole Wheat Pasta Beans (awesome for gaining weight) One of my favorite and cheapest meals for someone trying to gain weight is mixed brown rice with ground turkey. You can't go wrong. Also, be liberal with the olive oil when cooking. A little extra healthy fat will be good to help keep the calories high. |

i would suggest using the supplement QuickMass that shit has 1010 calories per serving and u can gain 10 pounds in almost 10 days. i never tried it myself but i heard some good things about it not only on the web but also from my friend who took it for a month. he also used to be a skinny and we used to call him Little Dima now we have to think of a different nickname lol. |

You can get weight gainer at kroger for less than 20 bucks; its whey protein and comes with about 52g of protein per serving. After you work out (which should be max weight and low reps) mix that up with some milk and down it. Also everyday eat a PB&J sandwhich with wheat grain bread; eat whatever else you want other than that through the day (avoid fast food, especially french fries.) You'll be up to 140 or 150 by the end of the year which is good for your height. Exxen Gaius |
