Post subject:  Bicep problem: My right not equate to my left

Guys I need help,

Since I started going to the gym since 22/4/2009 I realised that my right bicep is sharper and usually feels more sore than my left , when I started working out it was my left stronger than my right and now it switched.

I do the same reps and sets for both so wh is this happening ? I dont want to end up with right bicep lots bigger than my left.

Help please

You're masturbating too much.

Haha just work the other arm a little more to balance it out. Most people usually have one arm that is more defined than the other simply because of handed-ness (one hand being the dominant hand). Chances are no one will notice that one arm is bigger than the other unless it is a huge difference between the two.

If you're doing a lot of BB exercises for biceps you could be just using the right more than the left. Try using DB with strict form for each and see if that helps.

However, you shouldn't be concerned with symmetry that much. Unless its way off people won't even notice.

This is way right.

This is way wrong.

Asymmetry makes you more prone to injuries and more likely to use bad form on core lifts (which in turn makes you more prone to injuries :p). You want to get this straightened out.

Also, try eating more and more often. Excessive soreness is usually a sign you're not getting enough nutrients to support the exercise you're doing.

This is wrong, you should use Dumb bells more and keep the weight alittle lower than normal, this will still work both arms quite abit, but will allow for your weaker arm to close the difference gap between them without straining/injuring your weaker arm.

Ive actually got this problem, I used to hit the gym alot, but this year at uni Ive just started playing American Football(Im English) and am the QB, so I've been throwing shit loads this year, and my right arm is was much stronger, but now Im hitting the gym again, doing the above, its getting much better, mainly see the inprovement when your bench pressing.

Dont mean to upstage you dude but eccentric loading requires more absolute force, fast concentric phase followed by slow eccentric phase will cause a great training effect (the number and size of the microtears will increase). So if you want big ass ceps id concentrate of the eccentric phase.

Peace
